It's a very good add in...and usually better than random deleting....depending on your strategy.

The more easy modifications and add ins, makes the software both significantly better and more intersting....

i think the 'systematic selection' filter can wait until the next expert lotto release (in two weeks time probably). it actually takes more time to update the help pages than to implement it.

it appears as a new filter in the filters menu.

so generate your tickets (lines) into the package or load your saved wheel and invoke the filter.

the panel in the filter window shows all numbers occurring in the package in bold italics font.
then select whether you wish to optimize the coverage of pairs or triplets or quads and optionally you may also select a range of numbers to build the nplets from.

then click the 'ok' or 'apply' button to remove from the package all tickets that contain duplicate pairs/triplets/quads.

e.g. 5000 random tickets (lines) covers all 18000 triplets for a 6/49 lottery. the optimizer will remove approximately half of the lines from the package (when the range of numbers is set to be 1 to 49) while keeping the same full coverage of all possible triplets.

another example: if you wish to cover all triplets of 10 numbers (1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 20, 21, 30, 40, 49), select the range to be 1 to 10, then click boxes in the panel to swap 4 with 11, 5 with 20, 6 with 21, 7 with 30, 8 with 40, 9 with 49). and click the apply button to optimize the coverage (choose 'matching tickets leave' option).
the optimizer filter will leave in the package only tickets that cover triplets of the selected numbers.

Is there an AND option? For exaple filter if one of 1,2 AND two of 3,4,5 ? Or must include one of 1,2 AND two of 3,4,5 AND two of 6,7,8?

A logic filter with several AND and OR available would rock...and put you definitely on the top

the AND option would make the optimizer much more memory hungry. it means keeping all pairs AND triplets AND quads combinations in memory.
and besides you can achive the same by clicking the 'apply' button first to optimize for quads, then for triplets and then for pairs. ot the other way round.

i can't imagine what the OR option could be good for. imho it would always default to the best coverage of quads in all cases.

It should be a totally independent filter....something like up to 10 (even more is better, especially because of keno players) AND's in a chain available like an independent filter...

So you might like to filter all combinations that have :

2 numbers from group 1,2,3, AND 1 number from 5,6,7,8,9 AND...etc...

Also you might like to have only combinations with 2 numbers from the group 1,2,3 AND 1 number from 5,6,7,8,9 AND etc...


It's not that necessary , but if it possible it would be also really good to have further something like 2 numbers from 1,2,3 OR 2 numbers from 5,5,7,8 OR(even an AND here) etc...

well, if you can draw me a simple and user friendly screen allowing to enter and edit logical condition like this:
(a OR (b AND c OR d) AND e AND (f OR g)) AND h ...

then yes, in a couple of weeks
