I just uploaded the new version 106
Added "Group Analysis"

I hope I corrected the problems with XL97
you just indicated Brad.

I do have more Subs to add.

Some feedback is always welcome.

got the newest version

Hi Nick,

I CAN load my data now, either as .csv or as .txt, although with the latter Text Import Wizard kicks in so it takes longer, don't know if this matters in the end. Either way same problems occur.

My .txt file is in this form:

1,1/29/92,3,4,18,41,42,45,35
2,2/1/92,4,9,15,22,34,35,32

But my data does not display line 2, cells A,B,C,D or line 3, cells A to J.

-can scroll thru to regain and set 3D (I set it to 6)
-can't save data nor generate any reports

Trivial+Visual -> no report
D Distibution+Group Analysis -> RTE'9': subscript out of range
Save Data -> RTE '1004': Application-defined or object-defined error

Other functions seem to work ok.

Such is life with Excel 97, maybe easier to upgrade to 2000 or XP (for both of us ?) :dizzy:

- Since Last Appeared
- What comes Before/With/After
- Filters
- Red Car Strategy
- Announcer

What I'm trying to identify is
which priority shall I follow.

If you have any preferences I'll
follow that route.

Any other ideas are welcome

first impressions

Very nice Nick,

had a chance to try your prog, it's well organized and I like the reports.

Couple of Qs:

Print Preview - RTE'1004': Unable to set PrintQuality property of the PageSetup class

-does this mean I need to change my printer settings? and to what?

Make Button - tried it in Trivial Report, 6D display changed from <30> to <Button 17> (in a grey field)

-clicking the button doesn't seem to do anything
-duration was not affected, stays at 30 ... has to be changed/entered as before for desired range

Can you explain the purpose of making a button?

Make Button should not be there.
I use it to Create a Button in a Cell
My mistake.

I will change the Printer Settings
so that everybody can print without the
problem you encouner.

So the next function will be "Best Performing Set"

Trial #1 will be up tomorrow.

Hi Dennis,

The "Best Performing Set" is not
an easy function to construct.
We may have to try on many computers
with the same setting to identify that Set.
The reason I'm saying that, is because of the parametrs the function can take.

Anyway we will see the results.

LottoStatisticsXL v107

Added: What comes...Before/With/After

I did not prepared the Help file yet but
below is an explanation of how it works.

The Input Fields are:
Start Draw= Draw ID to start...
Duration=How many last draws to use
-1 0 1 = -1 stands for Before
" 0 stands for With
" 1 stands for After one Draw

SX = Range of Success of the given Group of Numbers

Group……..=Enter that Group of Numbers to test against

Pay attention to SX & Groups Fields
You shall use the "string" input format first. Which means that you shall first enter < ' > without the quotations followed by your numbers AND using 2 digits for each number

Some Examples:
for SX field= '02 means "when Group has success of 0-2 numbers

for Group...='01020304

After some practice will be very easy
and I'm here to answer any questions

hi and thank's
i would like to have skips numbers
ex:number 1 absent for last 10 draws and hits 12 times at this
skip.

The drawing result have this skip history like last draw skip number wase 10,4,5,9,10,12 and statistics for those skips wase this and this % at that skips.

Leap Froggers

Very useful tool you provided to us,Nick,well done and thanks. :agree2:

If I may suggest one thing,it`ll be nice if you can include a tool for tracking a number before or after the drawn number which is drawn in the next drawing,i.e Leap Froggers.

These Leap Froggers seem to appear quite often f.e.in the last drawing of Croatian lotto 6/45 there are 3 LF and in overall history I`d say that in 50% of draws appears at least 1 LF:

Don`t know if it`s doable, hence the suggestion.

Yap those "leap froggers" as Perkis calls them are very common in the Lotto game in Italy also... at least in the Rome Wheel!

I already posted in the Keno section the best sets ever for 5 out of 5 and up to 10 out of 10....The only one not there are the 9 out of 9 because 69 sets can have that title....69 sets of 9 numbers came up 4 times each in the history... :agree:

New update for LottoStatisticsXL

Added: Best Performing Set.

This function, as it is now, is relatively slow.
I'm working on a faster one.

To get the feel of it use the default values. Make small changes and see the results.

Do not use very high number of Trials.
Get the feel of Categories Input
by entering the range of Wins you want to investigate.

Your feedback is very important.
