Hi Springbok
Thanks for the welcome back, you are right about the weather. Although I was in Northern Portugal and Spain, the sun shone during the day, and one wet morning in two weeks was pretty good. I returned to a serious gale.
I was a boy the last time I was in South Africa, we called in at Capetown for fuel on the tramp ship I was learning my navigation on. I could have used GPS!
Things have changed since then of course, my daughter holidayed there when she was working in Lagos a couple of years ago, and loved it. She loved Northern Nigeria and Benin as well, so you can understand how much respect I have for her opinion!!
Good to see your success with the 49s, I will start again. I agree with you as regards the Windows dinosaur. I much prefer DOS for speed. I never got my head totally around some of Ion's software(me and a few other people), but there is no denying their elegance. I will take a look at the Bright prog. I am having modest successes with Winnalotto on the Tball, but as always the Tball itself is the problem. If I register with Ion, I will try the Bright5 prog using Debian, maybe Linux will be faster than Windows. Ion is well aware of the Windows speed problem, I am slightly surprised that he hasn't issued Bright5 in DOS, or allowed some experimentation in the number of draws required.
Anyway, let us carry on trying to beat the house(s), what else is there to do on wet days?? and the rewards could mean permanent dry ones!
