Question for LT

LT, you have probably explained this a thousand times and more, but do you play your 20 number selection yourself?
And if so, what kind of guarantee does your wheel (if any) have?

Here's the reason I ask:

I was looking at the best performing sets utility and came across some interresting 20 number sets for the 6/49.
Here they are with the results for all draws between june 12th 1982 and april 27th 2002 (thanks for the files, Dennis!).

03 05 08 12 17 18 20 21 27 30 31 32 34 36 39 41 42 45 46 47:
3+0 : 347
3+1 : 247
4+0 : 191
4+1 : 121
5+0 : 038
5+1 : 024
6+0 : 005
6+1 : 005

01 07 09 20 21 24 25 27 31 32 33 34 36 38 41 43 45 46 47 49:
3+0 : 343
3+1 : 264
4+0 : 174
4+1 : 130
5+0 : 040
5+1 : 030
6+0 : 004
6+1 : 002

05 10 12 14 16 17 19 20 27 31 32 33 34 35 38 39 40 43 47 49:
3+0 : 354
3+1 : 233
4+0 : 162
4+1 : 121
5+0 : 062
5+1 : 024
6+0 : 004
6+1 : 005

As you can see, the first set contained 6 winning numbers for 10 draws.
The second set produced 6 winners only ( :D ) 6 times, but did far better in the 5-winners department (70 times).
The last set has 6 winners for 9(!) AND 5 winners for 86(!) draws.

These results come from random testing, so there could be even better sets. If they are there, I'll find them..

If you're using a wheel with for example a very good 4if6 guarantee, I could change the program to concentrate on the 4+0 and 4+1 winning combinations.

HI! I have just check your best sets against an old all odd numbers set to see and compare the overall wins....

01-03-05-07-11-13-17-19-21-25-27-29-31-33-35-37-39-43-45-47
bonus-----------bonus
included--------not included
7=001--------------------
6=021-----------6=004
5=146-----------5=063
4=453-----------4=292
3=560-----------3=558
2=493-----------2=608
1=204-----------1=326

so it gives us 621/1906(total history)0.3258132 ...in other words around 32 % of the time you have at least 4 good numbers in that set...interesting....your sets are still better..:agree2: in the higher wins department..

And how about this one?

05 07 12 13 18 19 20 21 27 31 32 34 36 39 40 42 43 44 45 47:
3+0 : 337
3+1 : 248
4+0 : 194
4+1 : 128
5+0 : 045
5+1 : 019
6+0 : 009
6+1 : 006

That would be 649/1906 ...it is getting to be really interesting at 0.3405036 or around 34%....that is having 4 good numbers bonus included.. it is just a little more than 1/3 of the time...:agree2:

You could also take another approach:

986 wins (3+0 or better) in 1905 games: 51,76%

With only 40,82% (=20/49) of the numbers a 51,76% chance of winning...
Show me the appropriate wheel and I WILL play!

Still looking for a better set...
I need it to pay for the trip accross the puddle :D

If either of us win ...we'll make that trip across the puddle!:beer:

I might use your sets along with the announcers thing (I'll post my grid later)and....the hot/cold factor + LDs....it is really getting more and more interesting...:agree:

By the way there is another dutch player on the board...he posted some posts about 2 or 3 weeks ago about the dutch lottery...it is on the board somewhere...but I don't remember exactly where....

I know about this dutch guy; I saw his messages.
But he hasn't been on the board lately.

No better set yet, I'll keep looking.
I can do a similar run on the S7 data, any wishes about the set size?
I'll start with 20 too, but can adapt to your wishes easily.

If its is possible for you my friend!
I would like to see one with 13 numbers for the Super 7 ..as I can play that set in a 6/7 garantee wheel for only 28$ and the next Super Seven jackpot is going to reach 23 millions $$$.....

On another note what would be the top set of 10 numbers for the 6/49....:agree2:

Just a quickie:

Nice 13 number set for S7:
01 04 08 19 29 34 35 36 37 41 43 44 45
3+0 : 71
3+1 : 23
4+0 : 27
4+1 : 14
5+0 : 08
5+1 : 02
6+0 : 00
6+1 : 02

As far as the 10 number set for 6/49 is concerned...
I haven't found a better set yet than the ones you (should) have:

17 20 31 32 34 41 43 44 47 49
3+0 : 152
3+1 : 027
4+0 : 022
4+1 : 006
5+0 : 002
5+1 : 001

08 20 27 31 34 36 39 43 45 47
3+0 : 148
3+1 : 037
4+0 : 029
4+1 : 004
5+0 : 004
5+1 : 001

The quest for better sets continues...

Hi Goswinus ... the 20 number wheel is a minimum guarantee of 3 if 6 in a 10 number ticket combo. There are of course tons of other 20 number wheels that may be more applicable for other purposes. The reason why I have posted that particular wheel and the 10 number wheel is because of the small number of tickets needed to play the combos. Yes I do play my own Top 20 and as you would know, there are a multitude of combinations, so even if the Top 20 grabs a lot of winners you would still have to have the right combinations. For the purposes of an active web site this is less of a problem than it would be for individual play. I post the Top 20 because there are thousands of players viewing them each draw and thousands of combos played so when the Top 20 has the right numbers there are lots of winners due to volume .. just like a large lottery club or pool. The picks from the experts here that risk and win with the smaller sets are great sets to play as well.
Your discoveries with the sets of 20 are fabulous .. particularily your last set :agree: Can I ask what program you are using for that analysis ? Maybe Lottery Boss Pool Pro or VersaBet Set Generator?

Goswinus, I have a favour to ask - if you have some time. Can you run the following 12 picks for 6/49 through your software and give me the winning stats??

Whenever you get a chance Goswinus :)

Dennis, I don't know if you could do this for me also Buddy?
