Question for LT

LT,

I'm using my own set of utilities.
They are written in C++.
Programs like access and excel just can't handle a big load.
Other programs are either to complex or to limited in their possibilities.

Hi Beaker,

Thanks for your kind words.

Sorry I didn't read your question before.
Although Dennis already gave you an answer, my program gets a little different result, which is strange, 'cause I'm using data files that Dennis gave me.

0+0 : 186
0+1 : 100
1+0 : 529
1+1 : 172
2+0 : 420
2+1 : 156
3+0 : 172
3+1 : 059
4+0 : 048
4+1 : 010
5+0 : 009
5+1 : 004
6+0 : 002

This is a really nice set. My compliments to you!

It is not from the database that I have sent you ...but from another database that I very rarely use...don't worry the database you have is perfect it is from my LDs checker program and I have recheck that one on numerous occasions...I'll recheck my datas later ...I might be the one that made a mistake here.... (P.S. this is what happens sometimes with these automatic updates) All the other files you have should be O:K: too I got them from a very trusworty place...

By the way thanks for your hard work Goswinus ...I'm sure that the players from B.C. will appreciate it...A big thank you again my friend!:agree2:

Dennis,

here's some follow up information on the 13 number S7 set I have mentioned in this thread before:

01 04 08 19 29 34 35 36 37 41 43 44 45
0+0 : 24 (21 *** 3)
0+1 : 20 (27 *** 6)
1+0 : 80 (0)
1+1 : 29 (26 *** 11)
2+0 : 78 (3)
2+1 : 34 (9)
3+0 : 71 (1)
3+1 : 23 (23 *** 5)
4+0 : 27 (8)
4+1 : 14 (64 *** 34)
5+0 : 08 (140 *** 88)
5+1 : 02 (42)
6+1 : 02 (125)
value: 322

As you can see, I have added some information between parenthesis.
The first number indicates how many draws ago this result came out.
The *** indicate that this number is higher than average (draws / occurences).
The number following the *** is the number of draws overdue.

For example:
5+0 came out 8 times, which is rougly 1 in 52 times.
The last time 5+0 came out was 140 draws ago.
140 - 52 = 88.

But there's some more news:

I have added another option to my best-set-search program. I can make it concentrate on a certain number of regular balls correct.
For instance: When I look at 5 numbers correct (both 5+0 and 5+1), the best set (so far) is:

08 21 24 29 32 34 36 37 38 41 43 44 45
0+0 : 25 (25 *** 8)
0+1 : 07 (67 *** 8)
1+0 : 81 (2)
1+1 : 35 (9)
2+0 : 96 (0)
2+1 : 43 (11 *** 1)
3+0 : 62 (1)
3+1 : 16 (106 *** 80)
4+0 : 21 (17)
4+1 : 09 (37)
5+0 : 14 (43 *** 13)
5+1 : 03 (23)
value: 281

As you can see, the value is very much lower, which is the reason this set didn't come out before.
But 17 times 5 correct (14+3) is SPECTACULAR! This is roughly once in 25 times!
Apart from that, the 5+0 result (averages once in 30 draws) is also 13 draws overdue.

Any thoughts anyone?
Any wishes for other angles?

yes Goswinus one last favor ....could you do the best set from the announcers files that I have sended yesterday ...I would like to see something very similar then what you just did...(regular balls corrects) we might have some winners in there ...I would say between 2 or 3 in tonights draws out of 6....:agree:You are awesome Goswinus!!! :agree2:

Dennis,

I finally know what you mean, sorry to be so slow. I have to get used to the pace on this board again.

I'll find the best set among the ones you've sent me.
Coming up asap.

From the file you have sent me, 'simply the best' delivers the following set:

15 27 30 31 34 43:
0+0 : 663 (0)
0+1 : 116 (32 *** 15)
1+0 : 705 (7 *** 4)
1+1 : 082 (24)
2+0 : 268 (2)
2+1 : 028 (38)
3+0 : 037 (9)
3+1 : 003 (1122 *** 486)
4+0 : 003 (403)
4+1 : 000 (0)
5+0 : 000 (0)
5+1 : 000 (0)
6+0 : 001 (1014)
6+1 : 000 (0)
value: 471

'Concentrating on 4' delivers the following results:

17 26 30 34 43 48
0+0 : 708 (0)
0+1 : 107 (31 *** 13)
1+0 : 705 (2)
1+1 : 098 (7)
2+0 : 229 (12 *** 3)
2+1 : 014 (128)
3+0 : 032 (8)
3+1 : 006 (814 *** 496)
4+0 : 005 (24)
4+1 : 001 (136)
5+0 : 000 (0)
5+1 : 000 (0)
6+0 : 001 (9)
6+1 : 000 (0)
value: 417

Value is lower, but 3+1 seems to be overdue in both cases, but 3+1 came out 6 times before as opposed to 3 times in the first set.

Does this help?

Yes it does ...I bet you that 2 or 3 numbers from one of these 2 sets will show up tonight....my hints for tonight are the 26 and the 34 and the other numbers between them are looking good too...I can't wait to see tonight's results but I have to thank you again here :agree2:
I'll play a small set by mixing some of these numbers....I feel really good about them....one number that I overlooked was the 15....Thanks again!:agree2:

These two sets make up one set of 9.

15 17 26 27 30 31 34 43 48
0+0 : 381 (0)
0+1 : 095 (32 *** 11)
1+0 : 680 (3)
1+1 : 154 (7)
2+0 : 391 (2)
2+1 : 066 (33 *** 4)
3+0 : 104 (8)
3+1 : 017 (128 *** 15)
4+0 : 014 (138 *** 1)
4+1 : 002 (24)
5+0 : 000 (0)
5+1 : 000 (0)
6+0 : 002 (9)
6+1 : 000 (0)
value: 1.003

Although the value is low (I've seen values of 1.100) this set has won 2 jackpots, and one of them only 9 draws ago. What a pitty! :bawl:

It might be in for another ride... But with this theory and stuff
we will catch one before it strikes believe me my friend!
These numbers are good all around mixing numbers for a vast different scenarios....
.....9 draws ago:cry: :bawl:

Results with 12 numbers

I do not know if this is what you want exactly but with the numbers 08, 12, 14, 20, 21, 27, 34, 36, 39, 41, 43 and 47, the results (not considering the bonus number) for 1907 draws would have been (with WN being winning numbers):

0 WN - 289 times
1 WN - 718 times
2 WN - 588 times
3 WN - 236 times
4 WN - 60 times
5 WN - 14 times
6 WN - 2 times

Did you use the first draws of Lotto 6/49 to pick those numbers?
Because with those 12 numbers in the first 6 draws, you would have gotten respectively 4 WN, 4WN, 2 WN, 2 WN, 4 WN and 4 WN.

Re: 20nr sets for 6/49

Came across a set with 26 jackpots, however I don't think it's had one for a while...see what you think...

6-10-13-14-15-23-25-26-27-30-31-32-33-35-38-40-43-44-46-47

3+0...901 4+0...356 5+0...51 5+1...25 6+0...18 6+1...08

Not sure how accurate 3 to 5 hits are (they may overlap) or how they distribute over the history, someone may want to check this out? Can't vouch for my data base, normally I play BC49, but this may be of interest to 'nationals'.

Cheers

Brad,

Those numbers gave 5 last draw, and a jackpot (6+b) April 13.

Also, it's actually a good set for Super 7 as well :D

Matches
7+0 --- 1 ----- 7+1 --- 0
6+0 -- 10 ----- 6+1 --- 2
5+0 -- 39 ----- 5+1 -- 20
4+0 -- 83 ----- 4+1 -- 62
3+0 - 134 ----- 3+1 - 110

Great catch, Brad!

Here are the stats according to my program which uses the 6/49 datafile I received from Dennis. I think it's very accurate!

06 10 13 14 15 23 25 26 27 30 31 32 33 35 38 40 43 44 46 47
0+0 : 032 (F60 - A96 = -36 ***)
0+1 : 027 (F71 - A12 = 59)
1+0 : 186 (F11 - A9 = 2)
1+1 : 130 (F15 - A2 = 13)
2+0 : 373 (F6 - A1 = 5)
2+1 : 256 (F8 - A16 = -8 ***)
3+0 : 329 (F6 - A6 = 0)
3+1 : 217 (F9 - A10 = -1 ***)
4+0 : 183 (F11 - A14 = -3 ***)
4+1 : 098 (F20 - A49 = -29 ***)
5+0 : 034 (F57 - A0 = 57)
5+1 : 016 (F120 - A42 = 78)
6+0 : 016 (F120 - A463 = -343 ***)
6+1 : 010 (F191 - A5 = 186)

As dwoods99 mentioned, the 6+1 came out 5 draws ago.
The 6+0 however, is long overdue.

Brad's 20 numbers

Your data is good Goswinus

These 20 numbers got 6 winning numbers 26 times but it has been oddly distributed.

It got 6 numbers 11 times in draws #1 to 500, but then only 3 times in draws #501 to 1000. Then it got hot again with 10 times in draws #1001 to 1500 and back to a poor performance with only 2 times in draws #1501 to 1907.

Gillles,

try this set: 01-04-12-14-16-17-20-21-23-24
-------------- 27-31-34-36-38-41-44-45-46-47

It shows 15x 6 in last 500, most recent were 15,38,76,105 and 150 draws ago. Again, I don't have more detailed data, but don't think it hit for 6 prior to ~1400th draw.

Perhaps we could assume it will get hot again, between 2000 to 2500.

Do you consider the Bonus number, I do not.

As far as the numbers 01, 04, 12, 14, 16, 17, 20, 21, 23, 24, 27, 31, 34, 36, 38, 41, 44, 45, 46 and 47, I get 16 times with 6 winning numbers. with:
2 times in draws 1 to 500;
1 time in draws 501 to 1000;
3 times in draws 1001 to 1500;
8 times in draws 1501 to 1907.
