thornc,
I'm not sure what the problem was, but it should work. Please try again and let me know if you are still unable to send it and tell me the exact text of the delivery failure so I can figure out what the problem is.

I apologize for the delay in my response, I have spent most of my time recently in the hospital with my mother (she has been diagnosed with cancer - I'll spare you the details). I'm still working on the program and the website, I just don't have as much time to do it so my responses may be slow.

Thanks again for everyone's feedback and responses.

Life Sucks!

Well, if things weren't interesting enough - last night the hard disk on my development machine crashed - so everything is down.

I'll get things up as soon as I can - but all things considered, I'm not sure how long it will take me. I'll post again here as soon as I'm operational again.

Thanks for all of your comments everyone!

Someone actually won the BC49 JP yesterday  ... you think that maybe ... just maybe ... them BCLC shirts were reading our posts?!! :D <snip>
Another JP was snagged in BC yesterday!! That makes 2 won in 5 draws!!

What's going on!? That just plain don't happen in BC49!! Did them tightwads forget to draw their purse strings?! :dizzy:

Gotta prod them execs more often cuz it feels like it's working, we don't need another 6 month dry-spell here!! :dang: ..............

Well…those JPs are rather fine and encouraging events… in my opinion almost same fine and encouraging as if they decided to go with old fashioned ball machines.
Personally, I would never play computer-generated lotteries with no occasional JP winners, since the fact JPs are not carried into the subsequent draws might be quite irritating.
BTW, hope one day they might consider those cheerful balls machines…wonder why they never have considered it, since it would make the game rather interesting and bring bunches of inactive, doubtful and new players into it…

Well, just checked some other provincial lotteries...That Atlantic49 seemed to be rather fine in my opinion regarding JPs, 5+B winners and an estimated number of players ratio by looking at number of the 3/6 pize winners. It seems in the previous draw they had both JP and 5+B winners, and also a quite few big winners in some previous drwas...so, just checked their web site and...:eek2:..it seems these guys use a ball machine for drawing the numbers. Really wonder is it possible to somehow play that lottery online?

ALC Online?

Hey Tom,

looks like you can buy AL49 tickets online, check this page . And the beauty is it's not a middle-man sale but the ALC themselves ... and their tickets are 50c per ... what's not to like? ;)

Now all I need is their full history and I'm in like Flint :D ... actually Gail Howard has it, but I still need an 'official' file to crosscheck for accuracy.

Where did you see AL49 uses balls? Maybe Sheba can confirm that for us.

Cheers

PS just saw this:

"Every Wednesday and Saturday, at approximately 10 p.m. Atlantic Time, the Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC) draws six regular numbers and one bonus number from a field of numbers 1 through 49 for Atlantic 49. Each draw is conducted using a ball machine located at ALC’s head office in Moncton, New Brunswick."

so you were right, this lotto has balls!

Well... ..I like some snow sometimes and miss a better job...and at the end recently wasted a lot of $$$ here to finish an approved training, to get a higher license in something that have worked for the last few years and was successful in quite few years before, paid a quite fine $$ for those examiners which from some reason think all that is not enough and expect I will put more $$$ into it to get that supposed to be simply to get license and feed my family by starting a new business ...

Maybe I should rephrase that sentence ... before I get dumped on by someone from an Atlantic province ;)

I was only referring to ALC-online not being available country-wide. The provinces themselves are quite nice ... friendly ppl, lots of history, spectacular sites (like bay of Fundy and Cabot trail for example) and so on. I did some cycling there while on vacation some years ago and would love to go back again to explore some more.

So my 'complaint' above was solely directed at the fact that I can't play AL49 while residing in BC ...

I'm done carping for now :D
