Winning idea for pairs similar to sangoma (need some programming skills though)

Hi All

Saliu has a FREE updated enhanced "ToolsLotto5.exe" program.
ToolsLotto5 uses Standard Deviation to eliminate lotto-5 combinations.

It generates combinations of lotto-5 draws and let's you:

1) Generate lotto-5 combinations with NO favoriate numbers
2) Generate lotto-5 combinations with ONE favoriate number
3) Generate lotto-5 combinations with TWO favoriate numbers (pairs)
4) Generate lotto-5 combinations with THREE favoriate numbers (trips)
5) Generate lotto-5 combinations with FOUR favoriate numbers (Quads)

Each subroutine has it own mutilple choices:

1) do not eliminate any least frequent groups
2) eliminate the least (worst frequent) pairings
3) eliminate the least triplets
4) eliminate the worst quads

I'm using winnalotto's filter "BPMedianD" to select the numbers and
"Purge" to create all the combinations of draws for lotto-5. I use
ToolsLotto-5 with the resulting file and generate combinations with
TWO favoriate numbers (pairs). I won't know the results until tommorrow,
but this should be interesting. :thumb:

Forget this idea. Saliu's software requires a FEE for use of
these function and he's still deciding how much. His elimination method
appears to be least frequency of pairs, trips or quads. This is not new
since he uses this for balls. You still have the problem of how much
history to use and he's never been clear about this. Oh well, back to the
drawing board.

Thank You Halfbee!

IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MWHA HA HA HA HA!!!!
You are the man HalfBee! I have finally honed my strategy for my 4/24 and started truly playing for pay. Picked my pair and played it last night, it missed. Played it tonight, it HIT! YEEHAW!!! I didn't hit the "big one" because I played one number in the wrong position. Here is my strategy:

1. Pick my pair. As I said before, I'm looking for pairs under the theoretical skip percentage of 33%. I look for pairs that are around 5-6 skips currently with several consecutive hits over 12 skips (the 33% mark).

2. I put the pair of numbers into their due (or frequent) positions with the methods I mentioned previously. I also analyze the positions using Bernoulli tables.

3. Generate all combos with the pair in the respective positions.

4. Do some minor filtering.

My pair this time was 3,8 with 3 in the 2nd position and 8 in the 3rd. 3 actually hit in the first position (Hey, it was due in the second. Oh well.) but 8 did hit in the third position. At least I got all my money back and then some!:spiny:

Good to know it's at least paying for itself to play.
Been too busy to work much on the positional stuff, but should get to it this week.

*Like the new avatar? Been stung by the lottery enough times, I figured it's my turn to do the stinging...*

New program release:

http://www.amafrog.com/halfbee/pairpos1b.zip

This does the same job as the previous Pairs program but has an added tab for the positional percentages by column discussed earlier.

This is only set up for the following lottery types:
4/24 5/39 5/47 5/50 5/55 5/56 6/49

If there is a type you'd like to see added let me know (like the Iowa 5/35 or even one of those Pick7 games) and I'll see what I can do... You can still load and view the pairs sections if the game isn't listed above but it won't figure the positional section (it checks for valid types).

Can you add support for the NZ Lotto which is 6/40 plus one bonus ball?
Spot

Would this be a 7/40? In that the bonus ball is drawn from the same machine?
Otherwise I'd treat it like other Mega/Power ball draws and not figure it in.

Hi HalfBee,
The bonus ball is drawn from the same machine.
Would it be possible to support both 6/40 and 7/40?
Thanks for your help.

I found it... since you only pick 6 then it's a 6/40. The extra probably should be counted into skips but I think that's a bit too specialized and probably should have it's own methods in a different program.

Next version will have: 5/35 5/44 6/40 6/52 6/53 6/54 6/59 7/35 7/47
probably tomorrow afternoon... I'm adding them but most I don't have sample files for so I have to take it on faith my programming isn't messed up. I really should rewrite the code to make it more streamlined, but that can wait. Right now each lottery type gets it's own calculation routine which makes it easy to find if one type isn't working.

Yeah, I'll put them both in. The problem as I see it is, the bonus ball position can be any number. But if you want to treat it like a 7/40 that's ok. It will not figure 1 to 6 in that last position since the tables say they shouldn't be there. If it helps, fine... if not then go back to 6/40.

Hi,
7/35 lotto is in Sweden. We have 6/48 to , so called Viking lotto. It plays in whole Scandinavia. We have also keno 20/70 and one soccer game where one must find 8 games of 30 with most goals. I treat that as 8/30 lotto.

Could you add 5/19 for Pennsylvania's Mix & Match. It's positional for
Jack Pot winnings. :)

Thanks

Hi, HalfBee,

Would you please add game for SGP of 6/45, and 7/45 as the additional ball is from the same machine.

Thank you!

Hello BP

Do you play the Powerball in PA? There is an interesting article I read that they do pretest of the balls before the actual drawing. Someone says it is to check against the plays so that not many people win. Have you heard of this? We are getting Powerball in Florida in January. They keep a history of all the draws and predraws on line. It is the red dot in the middle of the page.
