"Just to be sure I have understood. You said "You are trying to find a trip that has not gone past 4 for as long as possible". So you count back the skips with values of 0,1,3,4 and stop at the first skip >4. Am I right?"

No, definitely not,never. You look at the reporting screen at the bottom. Untick the the first and the third tick boxes and you will see the unsorted history. I would be looking for 30,40 or more skip cycles that have not exceeded 4(if the current ongoing skip is 0). That is what you are looking for.

Bonjour Springbok,

I apologize for English is not my mother tongue, so, I have some difficulties sometimes to understand or to explain what I'm thinking. Thank you for your patience with me.

I thought I had better take examples.

These are two triples and their unsorted cycles.

34:35:36**1 1 0 1 0 2 0 0 2 0 3 0 0 1 7 3 3 1 0 1 0 0 1 2 1 1 3 2 3 1 0 0 0 2 3 0 0 3 0 2 0 2 0 6 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 4 2 1 3 0 0 2 3 5 0 1 2 1 0 1 3 0 0 2 0 1 2 0 0 5 0 1 5 0 3 0 3 2

46:47:48**0 0 4 2 2 0 1 0 0 2 3 1 4 3 1 3 4 1 3 3 1 0 1 1 0 0 6 0 0 0 2 1 1 1 0 0 2 0 4 0 2 4 0 2 0 0 1 2 1 0 2 6 0 2 2 3 0 1 1 3 3 4 0 0 2 0 2 1 1 1 1 0 2 1 0 0 1 3 6

What triple would the best regarding your method? From what I have understood, the best would be the 46:47:48 pair
because it shows 26 consecutives cycles no more than 4. But I have the feeling I'm wrong. Maybe I must take say 40 consecutives cycles from each triple and count how many cycles in that 40 cycles did not exceed 4?

Thank you.

Hi Taaroa

46 47 48 is the best of the 2 as it has more skip cycles equal or less than 4. So that would be the one to go for out of the 2. I will give some example for tomorrow later this evening.

This is an update of my column filters. 'N+x>=H', 'Median Due' and 'ReBal Perc'.
I search for Balls, Pairs and Trips. When a number(s) repeat in each I use them
as key fields. As I've mentioned before I also use 'Very Hot Numbers'. There are
some purge criteria that can wipe out all your selections, such as, match all
prior draws with more than 4 matching numbers. I use more than 3 matching numbers.
Keep backtesting and the routine gets easier. I won today with just 5 draws
and earned over $100. I want to refine this process and make this a daily
happening. :thumb:

Hi SpringBok,
This is an interesting method. I tried testing it by taking winning draws of 5.
I created all combinations of trips from it and loaded this list in the Drawing
Analysis screen. In several cases trips stood out as winners. The unsorted
skips of 30 or more ruled out most of the time winning trips. This is a process
that has to be programmed. I tested combinations from 15 numbers as trips and
the list was 1,700 trips. I would have to click on each and manually check
each. I hope there is a way that Patrick could modify winnalotto to check
this faster. :thumb:

Do not apologise for your English is excellent. I will explain some words I use. The "full monty" means everything. It is taken from the famous General Montgomery who when attacking the Germans liked to use everything. For example at the the start of the Battle of El Alamein he opened the attack with a bombardment of 1000 guns for many hours. So the full monty of pairs in the 6/49 game would be 1176 pairs and 18,000+ for the trips. Then I have some files which contain unique sets of pairs and trips. Each file contains 24 pairs and 16 pairs of trips. Each file has a name(alpha2,beta2 etc) for pairs and trips are named (alpha3, beta3 etc). When you eat a salami it is easier to slice it rather than eat it in one go in case you choke. Only my dog can eat a salami in one gulp.:)

The first thing is to understand the idea behind this technique(at this stage let us call it Sniper 2 as it is an extension of sniper 1). Each pair or trip has a history of its behaviour as revealed in the unsorted skips. Some pairs.trips are reasonably stable and others are unstable. Now when we bet on the 49s we need a pair,trip that will hit within the 4 draw limit. You know and I know that sometimes these pairs.trips do not do that and behave like hooligans and hit after the 4 draw limit. We need to predict a pair,trip that will hit within the next 4 draws. So we study the unsorted history to see how stable these pairs trips are. So if we see a pair,trip that has not exceeded the 4 draw limit for a long,long time then we can assume it will behave itself for the next 4 draws and our money will be safe. Remember when we chase a single number in a pair for 4 draws we have to win. We do not do this to lose. The 49s game in that respect is tough, it demands a certain precision. Does this idea work? Back test it and see. It looks good to me. Of course there will be further developments in due course.

What I cannot understand is why I was so stupid not to see this months ago.I was suffering from tunnel vision.

G'day Black Prince

When you are looking at this technique you must be thinking of what perspective you take. I am thinking from the perspective of a pair/trip hitting within 4 draws. If they do not then they are rubbish. From a perspective of hitting in the very next draw then any pair.trip which does not do this is rubbish.From your point of view you only want to collect pairs.trips that are nuggets not rubbish. This is real tough. It's like panning for gold during the California goldrush:rolling:

Sabuwona Springbok,

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain your method. I get it know.
The two pairs 34-35 and 5-14 predicted for today hit but I did not played them. Yes, 49S is tough and money management is difficult. But it is a good game to train. I keep on backtesting.

Hi Everyone,

I've been a bit tied up these last few days. Here is a quick filter that should help you get cracking with this method.

Skip40 Filter: Set as a 'Filter Column'
skip(0) <= 4
and
skip(1) <= 4
and
skip(2) <= 4
and
skip(3) <= 4
and
skip(4) <= 4
and
skip(5) <= 4
and
skip(6) <= 4
and
skip(7) <= 4
and
skip(8) <= 4
and
skip(9) <= 4
and
skip(10) <= 4
and
skip(11) <= 4
and
skip(12) <= 4
and
skip(13) <= 4
and
skip(14) <= 4
and
skip(15) <= 4
and
skip(16) <= 4
and
skip(17) <= 4
and
skip(18) <= 4
and
skip(19) <= 4
and
skip(20) <= 4
and
skip(21) <= 4
and
skip(22) <= 4
and
skip(23) <= 4
and
skip(24) <= 4
and
skip(25) <= 4
and
skip(26) <= 4
and
skip(27) <= 4
and
skip(28) <= 4
and
skip(29) <= 4
and
skip(30) <= 4
and
skip(31) <= 4
and
skip(32) <= 4
and
skip(33) <= 4
and
skip(34) <= 4
and
skip(35) <= 4
and
skip(36) <= 4
and
skip(37) <= 4
and
skip(38) <= 4
and
skip(39) <= 4

Springbok, would this filter not be even tighter If you change the first criteria to
skip(0) = 4

as this would mean it should basically reset to 0 the next draw?

Patrick

Hi Patrick

Will check out the filter settings this evening. If you set it to Skip(0) = 4 then you will destroy the logic. We are seeking pairs/trips which have not exceeded 4 draws. We ned to find these folk. With the settings you wrote out they will only be effective if the current ongoing skip is 0. Also we need to find out how many draws they went before they exceeded the 4 benchmark.

Gentlemen,
I used this method after I picked 12 to 15 numbers using 'N+x>=H', 'Median Due',
'Rebal Perc' and very hot numbers. The numbers from these are generated into
trips and saved as input to the Drawing Analysis Screen. When I set Skip(0)=4,
the results are 2 or 3 trips that were winning numbers. I will backtest some
more. I'm excited about this method. :lphant:

Good Morning Springbok & black prince,

The concept of Skip(0) = 4 basically implies, after the next draw these should have been drawn, so a skip value of 0 gets added, thus Skip(0) will now be a 0 and skip(1) now becomes the 4.

Using the same method, One can create a skip40, skip50, and possible even a skip60 filter.

Bonjour Patrick

I could not get the filter to work. I am obviously doing something wrong with the clm type file. I get the feeling that I must actually create all those extra spaces like #20, #21,........#24,#51,#53 etc

Dumela Springbok,

The easiest is to select - reset columns (or load 'Base and Draws'). Then add another column, and simply copy & past the info as the column filter, remember to check the 'filter column'.

Thanks Patrick, will attempt to implement your advice in the next 16 hours. I think I will sleep at work so I am in shape to do this late this evening. I tried to stick in the coding around midnight in bed with the laptop and unfortunately fell asleep. I wonder if doctors have realised that a using a laptop in bed could be a cure for insomnia:) :)

I must say you are corrupting me with your Windows programming. You are dragging me away from DOS. I accept the ease of this type of Windows programming, the mouse click is king:rolling: I was chatting to a computer fundi at work yesterday who is in the know about Delphi and Java and wants to look at the programme so I got to drag my laptop to work while he will drags his memory stick to download the programme. Then I got to explain it to him.

Howzit Spingbok,

Nowadays, the computers are powerful enough, that we can afford to use Windows, as you say, the mouse click and 'cut & paste' definitely speeds up the user interaction with the programs.

This is the problem, the program has grown so much, I have to update the documentation, while it's still fresh in my mind. Otherwise I'll even have re-train myself :)

Hi Springbok and black prince,

I've been experimenting some more, by setting Skip(0)=0, this brings out a fairly strong Opening Batsmen filter as well.

I have even been able to make a filter up to 20 skips for SA Lotto trips, with a maximum skip of 2.

Still a lot of testing to do though.

Regards
Patrick

This environment allows for quick backtesting to verify whether a method is
useful or not. I now understand why you kept this program so flexible in
terms of ideas. :)
