When is a Number Due to Hit?

Hi all,

Does someone have an opinion concerning the Excel file Lexicographic number ?

Thank you for sharing what you think.

Serge.

It is a bit difficult to fully understand your SpreadSheet because you have NOT included the formulas in the file.
When you talk about the Lexicographic number, the Lexicographic number for draw 7301 with numbers 12-28-29-36-39 would be 494574, but I don't understand what your figures are actually working on or represent?
Perhaps if you could explain your SpreadSheet in a bit more detail, or even upload a new Excel file with your formulas included, then we can help.

Regards,
PAB

Hi Serge,

I have downloaded your file and will have a look when I get some time -- probably tomorrow.

Thanks for posting!

Hi Serge,

Not quite sure what you are doing here.

Columns D-I are labeled as 'skips' but jump around in an incomprehensible manner -- how can a number skip from 3 to 10 in one game?

I'm guessing that you are pulling the Lexi numbers from another sheet -- it would be useful to see them.

In column "R" does "6" equal 6 correct predictions? If so your method appears to work with a reasonable frequency.

I agree that you need a mixture of Low/Medium/High due values to have any chance of selecting all digits.

Not sure that I get the formula in cell J327 -- is this your predicted Lexi number?

Go ahead and modify my spreadsheet any way you want. All I ask is that you post the results here.

Good luck!

Hi PAB, Icewynd,

I'm sorry, I'm in the process of moving from Paris back to Los Angeles, but I will get back to you when I can, thank you.

Not a problem, I hope the move goes OK, I know what it's like having move many times myself.
Good luck :thumb: .

Raj,
You may have noticed that this thread is over 3 years old. PAB is no longer in this forum, he has moved on. I think it may have become passworded after a spell of unacknowleged downloads by persons not contributing to the thread. I was not involved in this thread or the development of the spreadsheet, but a number of contributors are still around today, so you might find someone willing to share, but we dont like people who just harvest spreadsheets for the sake of it without proving that they have put some effort into lottery research. I may even have a copy on my old defunct PC but if I could find it I dont think its my place to share it with everyone, when PAB locked it up for a reason. I think its for contributors to decide.

I know this an old Thread. Maybe it will come back to Life.
I have tried a method that looks at the Last 50 Skips. if You subtract each Skip from the Average Skip individually calculated for each Number you get a sequence of + and - values. Adding up all of the + and - values, dividing same by the number of each (+/-) gives you the average under and over values for the Skips at a Hit. You can then back track these values and define Ranges into which a pick must fall. A 4 Range (Zone) idea is Under_Under, Under_Over (0 top limit), Over_Under (above 0 to Avg +), Over_Over. A 3 Zone Idea is Under_Under, Under_Over, and Over_Over.
It is just a way to set the + - limit for tracking. Still not proving to that great of a predictor; but, It makes the Accounting Interesting

Hi Frank

Thank you you for the response

I appreciate you replying to my request.

The reason I was looking at the spreadsheet is that I am quite new to skips and using skips.

I am building sheets for my use use with the local powerball and pick3

I am real grateful to you for all your help so far helping me to understand how the sheets work and to also make use of them whilst learning.

I also believe that its not right just to harvest sheet but one should also make a positive contribution.

Thank you once again Frank

Raj,
I suggest you read this thread again, not all versions are passworded, (yet). I dont think the work by Serge was directly connected to the original work by PAB. The skip counter here is the same style as the one I saw on your spreadsheet earlier, except it only works correctly if your latest result is at the bottom of the list, oldest at the top as it counts downwards. I think you had a similar version but you had your most recent results at the top, so your skip counts were out of sync.
The only thing different from what youve seen are skip statistics and criteria to decide whats overdue/whats not overdue. Its also a superb piece of work.

Its also a superb piece of work.

This thread is a brilliant example of how collaboration can take a simple idea and raise it to a whole other level. This is why I always encourage people to share their ideas on lotto analysis. Others can take your idea in directions that you never would have considered! PAB may be gone from this forum, but will never be forgotten.
