You said,you could extend that system for the FIRST three numbers, for the FIRST 4 numbers and so on. You would end up with playing all possible combinations. That would be too expensive but it proves that the lottotrix system really makes sense. It is an affordable way to have a fair shot at winning that jackpot. WHY?

Hope you don't mind me resuscitating a veeeery old thread but could someone enlighten me what Irvin meant by the quote below:
How can you step back with the odds after successfully matching the first two numbers???? Is it some kind of "penalty" of this wheel?????

I think what Irvin might be saying is that the design of the wheel, by emphasizing all possible pairs, sacrifices coverage of 3 number (and up) combinations. I'm certainly no wheel expert, so I'm just guessing here.
Btw, to cover all possible combinations of 3 numbers in a 6/49 lottery you need 163 combinations. I posted an examination of its performance a while back, which you may find of interest.

The 3-number coverage could be the answer, like you said.
And I like your analysis of the big 3/6 163 wheel! The risk/reward ratio isn't worth it for sure!!
I've done a similar test with another wheel for a 3/6 guarantee on the Irish Lottery: 145 lines are required, and the risk/reward ratio is just as bad!
