i did a little more thinking on this lottotrix system and be it the truth that every number is paired against the other number so in reality the first 2 balls dont matter what matters is having another 2 pairs which are somewhere in that 2 if 2 systemif i can land the other 2 pairs with the first 2 numbers that i am guaeranteed the jackpot will be mine remember the other pairs are in the wheel for sure!
I think you need to forget about the order - I can't see how this is at all relevant - the point is you will have 2 numbers in at least 1 ticket. Good.

Now, you still haven't told us how many tickets you use to cover those pairs

This strategy has been discussed at this site a few times. Basically, you can cover all the pairs but this has to be optimized for this lotto. If you do that - and there are many ways to accomplish this - I believe you will do better.

This is hybrid of playing every number in 8 tickets. In that case you reduce the odds also.

It would be easy to build this to look at the best pairings for this time in history.

Playing all 49 numbers in a 2if2 system theoretically can be done in 79 lines.

c(49,2)/c(6,2) = 78.4

But my guess would be closer to 90.

Correct Irvin - 79 minimum( I posted this above) - and 90 might be right - but he hasn't told us yet. What I don;t know is, are the tickets dynamic or static? The best would be dynamic ie change them for each draw based on some of the things we talk about here.

Pretty sure for $90 I could do better than afew 3-number wins :agree:

Beaker,

I'm having a guess here but if, like Luckyhorse said, "All the fun is taken out of guessing the numbers" then I would say it is Static.

So this wheel would never be optimized for each draw.

The closest wheel I would use to this;

2dn+2if3

At least if the 2dn (1pair) comes in your sweet for the rest.

Dont know how many lines that is. Anyone have a wheel for (47,4,2,3)

Did a quick calculation and got a figure that is too rich for me.

When I read that 'guessing' comment it struck me as the 2 numbers.

I'm OK with that - good strategy - and as you say the rest would be 47,4,2,3. But, doing that would put it out of everyone's budget.

There are many ways to look at this and I'll give you one example

Look at the top 200 pairings by frequency and build the rest from there with LD's, decades, delta pairs etc etc. until you had them all covered.

Beaker,

Personally I would never cover the other 47 numbers. (or in NZ lotto the other 38)

Probably top out at 2dn+(15,4,2,3)

In fact I think I'll go find a wheel like that at Peters wheels web site.

Regards,

Irvin

Darn I just checked it.....Doesnt have one.

But has a (12,4,3,4) = 27 lines.

I posted the present record
for a (49,6,2,2)=82 from were he came from.

Up to that day that system was using 83 sets and now he has reduced the number to 82.

Some other discrepancies also exist in his designs like 45,6,2,2=72
He uses 73 sets
52,6,2,2=96 he uses 97 sets.

Imagine selling somethig that we all can get for free by just asking!

Thanks Nick,

That is a great little wheel.

At 11 lines I might Play 4 different groups at a total cost of $NZ22.

LD(15,4,2,3,2)=18

L=2 means that the guarantee is applied twice.

LottoDesigerXL v2.1 can do such
designs with multiple L parameters.

Love the double guarantee.

I'll do 4 of those instead $NZ36.

Now to make up 4 groups of 15 numbers

I'll use your Stats analyser :D

Sometime ago I found that the wheel 12,6,2,2 that this kind of sites sell, is a little worse than a simple and free wheel made by means of CMaster.

LOTTODESGNER 1.02 B 04

Nick i am using your 1.02 B 04, version, is another later version available because i keep trying to duplicate some of your wheels but i always get a different wheel, i looked at your (14,7,5,7) =14 and ran it and it says that the minimum number of lines needed to cover 14,7,5,7 is 5 lines only, am i doing something wrong, also when i open v1.02 B 04, i get a message saying VERSION EXPIRED, UPGRADE....

I have got a programme called INIUGA and it seems to be ok, have you tried it? (it's in dos)

Cio

Tim.
:)

I have removed any other versions of
LottoDesignerXL from the
web except the original version 1.04 B4

In the near future I will release
a new copy copy for public use.

At the moment use 1.04 B4 which allows
you to get in.

WHAT ABOUT SMALL PRIZES ? :
If your special tickets don't match that winning ball, you'll
have at least : - 1 ticket matching the 1st and 2nd winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 1st and 3rd winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 2nd and 3rd winning number
That's because all possible pairs of 2 numbers are hooked together in your trix combinations.
The 4th, 5th and 6th ball are still spinning in the tumbler. So you still have a chance to match 5 winning numbers.

The FOURTH ball is about to appear...
If one of these 3 tickets match that 4th ball, you're guaranteed to have a 3 match, with a possible 5 match.
If these 3 tickets don't match that 4th winning ball, you'll end up
with : - 1 ticket matching the 1st and 2nd number
- 1 ticket matching the 1st and 3rd winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 1st and 4th winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 2nd and 3rd winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 2nd and 4th winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 3rd and 4th winning number

The FIFTH ball is about to appear...
If one of these 6 tickets match that 5th ball, you're guaranteed to have a 3 match, with a possible 4 match.
If these 6 tickets don't match that 5th winning ball, then you'll end
up with : - 1 ticket matching the 1st and 2nd winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 1st and 3rd winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 1st and 4th winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 1st and 5th winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 2nd and 3rd winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 2nd and 4th winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 2nd and 5th winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 3rd and 4th winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 3rd and 5th winning number
- 1 ticket matching the 4th and 5th winning number

The SIXTH ball is about to appear...
Only in very rare occasions, these 10 tickets and the final winning number don't come together. That's the reason why you are almost GUARANTEED TO WIN A SMALL PRIZE if your special tickets don't match that winning ball !!!

After the first 2 ball, how about 3rd,4th and 5th, 6th fall?
Let's talk about this issue in detail.

Stefan, Irvin, tks.
