I just noticed that even though the old betslips site shutdown pick3/4 betting ages ago, the results page still works...so I added a link to it near the top of my pick3 page...handy ifya don't want to look at all the official sites to check results.

hiya perdue, nope I did not have anything in play
yes, BBS's were great fun...internet is just a rehash of that stuff, without the charm...local boards were already social with chat, classified ads, online games, message forums for various hobbies and all.
some BBS's are still up, and even accessible via internet, although you have to telnet to them...pretty neat seein the colorful text, being able to play some classic door games again such as: LORD, Usurper, Kannons & Katapults...on the Commodore C-net boards I loved the games such as Empire & Murder Motel.
a few days ago I read an article about people wanting to setup BBS's again...just in case the internet seriously gets attacked, or governments block access...perhaps the old phone system & local dialup boards would still be a way to communicate...local networks of boards could pass messages on to boards in neighboring towns...sounds like a good idea to me.

Just my luck...
Tonight I put a couple of sets of Daily 4 numbers together. One of my sets was 0308. I was filling my slip out in the shadow of my dome light and filled out 0208. It was a costly mistake of $303 since 0083 hit. I just can't believe it happened like that...but it did.

some folks are extremely hardcore lottery players...one I know in Sweden sometimes unleashes up to four-thousand picks on big games

I have an old lottery program (DOS) that I still use. I can't use the correct date since it bombed on Y2K, but it's still a good statistical tool. It used to have an option to print payslips although I think there was a law against non-lottery play slips.
I've done the straight mistake too; thinking I had a box win and realizing I'm soaked.
Oh welll...

hiya Mr_Rich, yup wild lottery play...and yes there are some cool legacy DOS apps, I wonder if it could be hacked to fix the date.
some people use a spreadsheet template, rigged to precisely print marks onto a stack of official playslips.
