I played a system for the first time on Pay Day last night. I played four overlapping 8 number sytems (guarantee 3/4) at a cost of $6.00 per system for a total of $24.00. I only picked two numbers correct with the systems and so only won $2.00 back. However on the quick pick lines I got 2 numbers 3 more times for a total of $8.00 back on a $24.00 wager, meaning the wager cost $16.00 at the end of the day.
So I'm kind of optimistic on the Pay Day as it is the only Lotto where you can combine a system and quick picks on the same ticket, and seemingly can often expect some kind of payback on a draw. This is as opposed to the 6/49 Lottos and their impossible odds. The next step I believe is to devise a sytem combining (of course) lower cost and coverage with a reasonable chance at winning. While at the same time crossing my fingers on the quickpicks. I think I'll try layering 3 basic 8 number system, to play 12 numbers, as follows:
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
1,2,3,4,9,10,11,12
5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12
This will lower the cost to $18.00 meaning that, with the same mediocre draw as last night, I would lose $10.00. I am considering giving up on the major lottos and focusing on the Pay Day. Does anyone have any thoughts on developing Pay Day systems? Thanks again to Blitzed for the tips and helping me get started.
