Election Fever

If you can vote twice...Well it's even better...bring your wife to vote with you..
Always wonder why they don't do the Election Day on Valentine's Day... They would get a huge % of participation that way...

While in the booth ....ready to vote... just do the same as millions and millions of people...Don't think back at the last few years....Only that can have a big influence on your vote...
Just vote..

Now here's a question...Are you allowed to vote if you drink too much beer???
You can't drive...But you can vote...Hummmm... makes me wonder...

What are you guys in the maritimes thinking.
Are you all smoking government approved pot.
If the conservatives form the next goverment, those of you in the maritimes will be punished for voting Liberal, just as we in the west were when we voted conservative.
Then you will see an end to the handouts, and the gravy train.:agree:

I can't believe the people of Ontario, you deserve to bend over, and get it in the end again.
You have let the rest of Canada down.
You deserve to get what you get, both provincially, and federally.
Hats off to Quebec:agree2:
at least they hold true to what the believe in.

Yes, these minority governments don't get anything done :dang:

Peter, I'm surprised the Liberals did so well. The Ontario provincial Liberals have left a very bad taste here

Watching Martins speech, I'm sure I saw his nose grow on national tv.
He should have had a polygraph on during that speech.
He mentioned every region of Canada, except Alberta, and that continues to be our punishment for not electing Liberals.

I challenge all of you who voted Liberal , to look at your paystubs on payday, and ask yourself if the deducted tax is being spent wisely, and I ask you, do you not work hard for your money, that you can just throw it away.
We in Alberta have alot in common with those of you in Quebec, only we don't believe in separation.
This government won't last long, the bright side is cretian is gone, and so is joe clark.

You would be better down West having a souveraign provincial government of your own with really all the power controlled locally and we all would do better if each part of Canada and still be link together but each one of us as souveraign nation ....The Mohawk used to do something like that ...They called it The ''ODENOSONIE''
(6 differents souveraign nations joined together that formed the Great Mohawk Nation that even the american revolution and numerous wars couldn't break...)
The U.S.A. copied a little of that to create their country...Each state independent but linked together by the overall constitution...Their only flaud is their big government that takes too much space and that has too much power...mining the individuality on where they were created...
Only a fool could pretend that Québec or Alberta is the same as the rest of the country...We are different all of us Maritimes, Ontario, Québec, British Colombia, Alberta...Nunavik etc...
Federalism as it is today doesn't work and % of repartition of seats like Jack Layton is proposing (though it is a noble idea and I admire his will behind it) wouldn't work either..
The only other alternative to this if it stays like it is now...Is separation and a complete break-up of the country in the longer run...
Don't blind yourself too much...The Liberal party is only a temporary patch to this ...but this kind of patch (though it worked in the past) is weakening here in Québec...When a next vote for independence will be ask ...Many people (not only French Canadians that the rest of the country tends to associate the separatist movement with) but immigrants and natives people as well will joined this movement...(it is happening now)
We are different like Spain is different from Ontario or Ireland is different from England, or France is different from Québec...
Different people=different country=different Nations
even if it is not on paper yet ...The country of Québec already exist nobody can denied that...We do exist...People not maps or frontiers determine a country...or a Nation...
We native people are a testimony to that...
Doesn't mean we hate the rest of Canada...or Spain or France...or Alberta or Ontario...etc...
The rest of Canada have to learn that a vote for independence is not a vote against them...We love you all...
I have always voted against independence but If a vote for independance was held today I would vote yes and I am not alone ....!!!
:agree: :agree2:
