BP skipper

900 is good (the more the better) it will only go back until it finds 5 skip values. For 5/39 I'm loading in the whole file (5000+ draws). It doesn't use anything past the 5 skips, so it doesn't matter.

One of my TODO items was to make a little utility to massage those Florida result files into a nice CSV format (along with some other places with odd formats for their draw histories). Just hasn't been high on the list...

Got it working. What size history file do you suggest to start off with to test? My file is 900 draws. Is that too large?

thanks

Hello HalfBee

O.K. I am totally lost. Is this used with lottomania? I see my drawings in 1 box and the last 5 drawings in the bottom box. When I come to the last draw there are just green for the numbers and no other colors. Do I look for like patterns matched to the skip pattern on the left?

thanks

Well... If I understand the way BP uses it... When you get down to the last draw (none in lower box meaning you would be predicting for the next draw) you should have a feeling about how the patterns are running and be able to remove those patterns that have hit less than 4 times, thus eliminating those numbers. You still need to run WinnaLotto for your 'main' number selection but the patterns should be able to help eliminate some of the numbers that the filters in WinnaLotto throws up.

The way I use it... You take the numbers in green (indicating the current draw) and find the patterns in the list. From the previous draws I've already processed I usually see that if a current pattern has (for example) hit 5 times I choose all the other 5 hit patterns, or move up or down one count and take the 4s or 6s as numbers to keep. The Red numbers (meaning future draw) are just to see how the patterns and their counts are changing from draw to draw. I also usually take the extreme number counts from each end if there is only 1 or 2 of that count (like all the 14s and maybe the 1s or 2s).

After I've moved off the patterns I want to use (which shades those numbers in the list in grey) I then move the remaining patterns the other way that removes those numbers from the list, leaving me with a set of numbers that I also match against whatever I get in WinnaLotto from filters.

This isn't a replacement for WinnaLotto and other methods, just an additional elimination method that might or might not help getting a bit closer to the goal.

Halfbee, your right about how I use patterns to select numbers from patterns
that occur more than 3 times. I use winnalotto filters that help me reduce
these numbers further. It works very good for 4 out of 5, and occassionally
5 out of 5 occurs. My problem is there are still 12 to 15 numbers. I'm still
testing what patterns each individual number likes to win with. It's not as
random as you might think. If I can predict with some accuracy the
pattern(s) a number is most likely to win, I believe this will reduce the amount of
numbers ready to win. If it works this should reduce my number set to 8 to
10 numbers. :)

Hello HalfBee & BP

Got it. Will read over and over what you do and see what I can come up with. My predictions have been really terrible lately. Maybe this will help.

BP,
I get different results depending on lottery. For 5/39 the first option seems fine, but for say euroMillions 5/50 nothing seems to fit so far. Still checking.
Just wanted to see if you had any input on adjusting this a bit.
I wonder if you have gotten EuroMillions to fit with the work you have been doing. It seems nobody has got it right as the jackpot has rolled over five times to £70 Million.

I would appreciate it if you could try your predictions again for this Friday. I will not be entering as I haven't had the time to work on decent predictions and the odds are too high to guess.

Will post another prediction over in the other forum for EuroMillions. Will see how it goes... Today's Fantasy 5 is attempt to get patterns into the mix. I usually chop too much, but number 10 has been throwing everything off. I have eliminated it because it's shown up too much... 6 out of the last 8 draws, it's got to stop sometime (even if I should be riding it out to the end of it's hot streak)

Hello HalfBee

I need a little help. Can you tell me what this means? I need to get a little help on what I am looking at. These are just some examples of my first SKIPS.

65565 2 <2>0
56665 4 <0>4
56655 4 <0>4
55656 4 <4>0
65555 4 <2>2

1 66565 X
2 66555
3 56665
4 66666
5 56665

thanks

65565 2 <2>0
56665 4 <0>4
56655 4 <0>4
55656 4 <4>0
65555 4 <2>2

1 66565 X
2 66555
3 56665
4 66666
5 56665

The first part is:
SkipPattern (65565)
How many times it showed up (2)
The Under/Over SkipSum (<2>0) meaning it was always under skip sum

The second part is:
BallNumber (1)
Current Pattern for that number (66565)
Whether it was in the last draw (X) or nothing if it wasn't drawn
I should also add the Over/Under indicator to the copy routine as it might be important (not sure yet)

You have something interesting here I'll point out...
Both these number have the same skip patterns...
3 56665
5 56665

Now above it you see this pattern has shown up 4 times
56665 4 <0>4
And every time it was Over the skip sum value when it hit (would expect this with three 6s in the pattern). If for example 3 was indicated as Under skip sum then you could eliminate it.

I keep trying to find some way of getting the patterns to stand out. Usually what I end up with when I copy the number list is:
Numbers with patterns that share a pattern with no other number
Numbers with patterns that share the same pattern with 2, 3, or 4 other numbers

Like above where you have two numbers sharing the same pattern, you either select/eliminate them as a group or decide if one of them doesn't fit and use the other. I was hoping the Over/Under would help, it does sometimes but it's a tricky call.

Hello HalfBee

Beginning to understand it a little. Your explanation was very helpful. Will track this for a while and see what I can come up with. You're so good at this I may send you my next summary to look over!

Sure... I'm good at explaining it... not good at having any success doing it...
The times I've tried to add it into the mix selecting number hasn't gotten very good results so far. I tend to over chop and end up cutting out numbers that were part of the group in getting it down to a reasonable pool size.

If I could do like BP and get down to 15 numbers I'd be happy but usually end up with 22-25. It's reducing them to 16 to 18 numbers that fails.

Hi All

Hi All,

I've been studying patterns of individual numbers prior to winning and
discovered some interesting reults. Seems that each time a number
has uses a patterns it rarely repeates that pattern for some time. If
I keep track of prior winning patterns for each number, I can come close
to predicting which numbers are not likely to win due to a pattern it has
already used. Then there are a few patterns that all numbers rarely use.
For example, 55555 or all skips greater than 6. I have stored the patterns
for each number and compared them to their current skip pattern. I'm
doing this with Excel, pencil and paper for now. When it gets more accurate
I plan to development a program. If you have other ideas how I can exploit
this into better predictions, please give your opinions. :)

Hi All

Here are my picks for Treasure Hunt Monday 9/1/2008 using patterns:

03 04 06 10 11 12 14 16 17 18 20 21 22 23 24 26 28 29 30 -> 19 numbers

Here's what winnalotto's filters picked that matched the patterns:

04 16 21 23 24 28 29 -> 7 numbers :)

Hi All

Hi All,

Below are the winning results for Treasure Hunt for the last 6 day's:
I dropped #7 and #1 after they won more than two times in a row.
Winning three time in a row is very rare in this game. Four times is a record.
The patterns selected #1 and #7 all 4 times, but I didn't play them
The #1 has also been playing too much. My patterns were on the money
until the last 5 games. I expect to have some games where the picks
are less than 4, but not this many in a row. :( I will allow numbers that
win more than 2 times in a row and just use the patterns to select picks.
This of course increases my number of picks from patterns.

Hi BP

It sounds like your patterns were doing quite well and will do well again. Unfortunately these little balls/numbers never behave "like they should" and let us win for a change :)

Keep up the good fight :thumb:

Now I know something is really wrong with the drawings at Pennsylvania
Lottery's Treasure Hunt. It's a computerized drawing done at 1:10PM
every day. You be the judge. Here yesterday's drawning for 9/3/2008.

07 11 15 29 30

That makes the fifth day in a row that #7 has won. :(
