i hope this new 649 backfires on them.

they planned it this way to keep the low prizes the same [ hey we most hit the lowers right] and entice the fools with bigger jackpots, but hey, they knew that fewer tickets would be sold and hence fewer jackpots would be hit.

so what i'm hoping it that as they get fewer & fewer sales the jackpots do indeed grow to lets say from 20 M to 40 Mill 80 mill etc, but the sales a DIDN'T add up to the doubling of $20 mill , or even $40 mill, and then someone hits it and the 649 corp STARTS LOSING MONEY  on these huge jackpots.

When I first looked at this I thought they might get some payouts that were greater than 100%

Looking at it now, if the jackpot doesn't go, they only payout 20% of the pool :dang: So, they more than make up the $$

So far, ticket sales have NOT abated.

The message has to get to the lottocorp somehow that people don't want this. And like charles, I hope it backfires on them, too. It's taken the fun out of playing this one for me and I won't spend double the money on it. :dang:

I checked and see this...

29-May-2004 had Sales: $12,261,902 = 12,261,902 sets played
05-Jun-2004 had Sales: $22,276,296 = 11,138,148 sets played

...down by 1.1M sets with the same jackpot and day of the week. I'm sure they are looking at $$$ and don't give a crap about how many sets played:rolleyes:. Power:bawl:'s site is useful sometimes:lol:.

Regards,
George:)

Contact OLGCinfo@OLGC.ca daily to vent your displeasure. Call 1-888-230-3505 , the gamblers hotline and voice your displeasure,...you can be sure they are keeping tabs on complaints for the OLGC....The masses must speak out... The squeaky wheel gets the grease, no pun intended

I sent them this:lol:...

To whom it may concern:

I have been playing 6/49 for many years and noticed the increase
does not award anything better to a 3 number winner. I am very
disappointed in this because $10 for a $2 play is not fair.

I am not going to purchase anymore tickets from this day forward. I
never liked Super 7 and will not play it either. This is all I have
to say. Thank you for your kind attention.

The word "I" was in that note so many times my head is spinning:spiny::dizzy::lol:.

Regards,
George:)

I've already fired them off an e-mail voicing my displeasure. Maybe somebody there will listen.

That's excellent George....Everyone must make a point of sending off letters as such to the OLGC .....Profanity is useless ..... Keep your letters short and to the point . Tell your friends , coworkers, email contacts, any one you see buy a ticket at the variety store , to contact the OLGC and vent at them. Make them earn their salaries. They were sure this increase was a given and now the anger is rising to a point they have to throw in a bonus draw to generate interest. Local radio shows are getting a lot of flack from listeners who are irate.
I challenge everyone who is contributor or a lurker in this forum to take the time and vent repeatedly at the OLGC.....Spread the word.......

I figure that kind of style and tone is the most credible... ...profanity will do less in impact. What are the folks on the radio saying? I will not listen to AM radio:no: where all the talk shows thrive.

George, CFRB 1010 in Toronto has had several shows recently and the host has had a rep from OLGC on air with him each time and callers have been ripping a strip off him over the increase. The host is strongly against it and stirs the pot rather well. I must say that I have not heard the show myself as I usually sleep days, however my mother who is an irate lottery player keeps me up to speed.

The biggest problem, (probably never solved) is where to look:notme:. Even all these things do not work all the time.

Ok the problem is, often, within the player. If you bet on a method/strategy and you winned some prize, you'll go on next draw with the same method/strategy. If you bet on a method/strategy(M/S) that winned nothing, next draw you'll search for a different M/S.
However, using backtracking as you easily do by means of software, you can select a couple of M/S and to choose the M/S whoose good result goes on "overdue".
You can loose next draw too, but if it's a very selective M/S, when its good result comes, it will be a victory.
Let's put an example with a simple M/S: you know that 15 Cold Numbers (CN) did't hit as expected last 5 draws. No one can guarantee they'll hit better than the odds next draw, but if your reports say this is the best time to play them, let's do it, although many players have no faith in such M/S now.

That's the reason why I think that to use a unique M/S may be not the best play. However, I'm aware of what Dennis says, if you hit big, there's no need to ever win. :agree:

It all boils down to experience. There is no so called system. There are methods and logic even in chaos like you eluded to which we know is better than Quick Picks. Some methods are more effective than others.

Most have no clue or the means to do things correctly/properly. Lightning can strike... ...just being at the right place, at the right time.
