if I won $200,000.00 and up in the POWERBALL ? :lphant:
My former employer gave me a huge raise, I was working on almost $18.00 an hr & then it was taken from me all because of corporate *(^%$: :dang:

Then they lied at the ESC hearing about cutting my pay to keep from paying benefits. That's fine, I will come out on top and hopefully sooner than later. :agree:

I don't know about you guys, but I could retire on $200,000.00 even after taxes ! :hair:
Pray for me guys as I do for all of you that love the lotteries. :)

Well Catzilla,
how'd ja do? I have a similar wish---To become boss of all of the people that were impossible to work with one way or another...but my desire is to be a perfect gentleman;never raise my voice and kill them with kindness plus let them know what an ethical person looks and is like! Since I have not won that big one...yet, I must be proper and allow my dog to water their petunias!!

Keep trying kiddo, it'll be there one day!

Catzilla, lots of luck to you. I've been trying to get a transfer out of my dept into another. I am not getting any younger and can't keep quitting jobs, starting all over again. It would be nice to win enough to take a year off with no money pressures. Hopefully I have another internal interview coming up within the week. It's really hard to keep good thoughts when a co-worker gets a transfer to a better paying job and a year ago you were sitting next to her. Especially sucks when she forgets you were once the person who filled up her gas tank when she couldn't. And loaned her your text book because she couldn't afford to buy one. My how ppl forget where they come from. I pray for all of us. This isn't my retirement, but it's fun to come up with numbers and think one day, our numbers will come up somewhere in this country!! I truly believe in Karma an know that what goes around, comes around.

Thanks Ironbelle :)

I grew up working in the fields of eastern NC tending tobacco & I know the industry pretty well.
I was told by someone today that retired from Phillip Morris to make sure I let them know of my exp and it will help tremendously in getting a position.

I spent many a hot day working the fields in the 70's for $3.00 an hour.

Also...you keep knocking on the doors Ironbelle :smokin: ....the right job for you is out there:agree: ...IMO there is nothing wrong with you going from job to job if you KNOW that what you are currently doing is at a dead end. :dang:

I'll let you guys know how it goes tomorrow and keep prayin for me. :liplick:

Blue71 - Been there, still there. I talked to HR at my job to see why I wasn't getting any offers from internal positions and she asked me was my resume active on monster.com and I told her yes. I asked her why was that a concern when the company is not trying to keep me by transfering me internally and I told her in was unfair of the company to expect me not to look if they are not trying to place me. She didn't know what to say. I got a phonecall and a lady wants to talk to me from another company. I am going to make an appointment with her if all goes well. I don't want to leave my present company, but I'm not spending another three years with that prick boss of mine.
