Where to begin?

Hi:

I have only been looking at playing the lottery seriously for the past few weeks. In that time I have downloaded all sorts of skip chart generators, random number generators, frequency chart generators (there are so many generators...)
I have also read about wheeling, about only choosing numbers from before the last 5 draws, about "Delta numbers" and mathematical formulas beyond belief.

I have tried to understand ideas that may as well have been written in Aramaic.

Fortunately, I have also found sites, like this.

I'm sorry for rambling (although I usually do); I would just like to know where to start. I have found that I enjoy playing the 6/49 games etc., but I don't want to play blindly.

I am the furthest thing from a statistician, but I am a keen learner. Any starter tips would be really appreciated. I feel very lost.

Thank you in advance to anyone willing to post advice.:dizzy:

The right time

I thinking the right time to buy tickets is when the jackpots are high before than you are just wasting your money.

RE: MaryD...

Hello MaryD...

there is a suggestion to buy tickets when the pot is large.
Nothing is wrong with that statement except that most of us "fished around" to find a game that we liked and then built up our confidence in the buying aspect alone. In your case you stated that you enjoy the ...6/49. The best way in my estimation is to keep everything as simple as possible. The ...6/49, has thousands of possibilities and can be a major head burner after a time. Use that computer or generator that's free (the one that's on your shoulders) instead of buying into a major expensive program. There have been many small programs introduced on this website; find them, try them and then go for the gold. The idea behind winning any lottery is to find a pattern or use a gimmic of some nature that you are comfortable with and understand your way. Until you " learn the ropes" go easy on yourself and play small bets. Anyone here will tell you that lottery as with any gambling game can get very expensive wether you know what you are doing or not.

My favourite lottery to play would have to be daily keno, only because I have my own tested and proven methods to playing it. well proven in my own mannor. What I suggest, well I'm not sure with 6/49, would be follow it over atleast a month with or without a program, follow what numbers and pairs you were planning on playing and if your method proves itself to work over a period of time, use it. REMEMBER, it only works and is proven if you'd have ended up with more than you spent :D
