WARNING! BC Lotto 6/49 History is Incorrect

Just a warning for those of you who may have downloaded the entire history of the Canadian 6/49 game from this page:

The download data is INCORRECT. Specifically, some of the draw dates have been duplicated. The incorrect draw numbers are:
2890-2898
2934-2942
2959-2968
2986-2994
3030-3037.

I have checked all the duplicated drawings against draw information from another site and the data for the first of the duplicated dates is correct. The incorrect draws can be identified by having a Bonus Number of 0 (zero).

I have e-mailed the BC Lotto people to alert them to the problem, but don't expect it to be fixed real quick (or maybe not at all)

Thank you for contacting BCLC regarding the Lotto 6/49 winning numbers from day 1 zip file.

We have reviewed the zip file and find it to be correct. BCLC had mutilple bonus draws for the Lotto 6/49 $100,000 a year for life bonus promotion where an extra six numbers were drawn immediately after the Lotto 6/49 regular draw. This is why the number “0” is shown for those rows in the zip file as there was no seventh number called only the six numbers for that bonus draw.

I would disagree with their premise that there is not a problem, as the bonus draws are a separate type of draw and not a 6/49 draw, but wadda ya gonna do?

I totally agree with you Icewynd, these should be put into a seperate file. That way, it is down to the individual if they want to add and include them into their Lotto DataBase or not. They have obviously not thought it through properly.
