That coalition is getting smaller and smaller every day.
No surprise since more of the Iraqis are starting to take responsibility for their own country, hence less coalition troops are needed.
The coalition is still bigger than the one in 1991.
Even the Pentagon said in a report a few months back if they are lucky things will remain the same as current conditions, and if its bad it will be a full blown civil war within a year.
That report was outdated and only gave worst case scenarios. As you can see, it quickly fell out of the news. Even the liberal media knew it was a clunker.
Holding elections in Iraq by February is a long shot at best. And good luck getting other European countries to send more troops. G.W alienated and insulted all of them, and saying let bygones be bygones is not gonna convince them to send troops. The elections are going to be held in January. All your predictions of gloom sound like much like what others said about the Afghanistan elections - which went off without a hitch. As for your remark on saving Europe in WW2, no one disputes the US played a pivotal role in WW2, but they were also known as "Johnny come lately" in that war.
