Had to tell this story..

An aquaintance of mine had her first baby last Wednesday. She is 40 years old and insisted on having a natural childbirth at home with a mid-wife present. (to experience the total joy of the experience, in her words) Needless to say after so many hours in labor it was determined the best course of action would be to take her to the hospital to have it as some complications arose. She ended up having to have a C-section and did come home on Monday. Well, wouldn't you know it, yesterday she was rushed back to the hospital, her appendix burst. So, it's back in the hospital for another stay. Rotten luck or what? :dizzy:

...if you want to win the lottery, you might want to stay away from all of that so it don't rub off on you...

No daddy involvement with this one, Beak. Right now the baby is with her mom and her dog is with a friend. I couldn't even imagine being in her shoes right now. :dang:

It seems she was quite lucky having the time to get everything under control. I might bet probability of having some sort of troubles during first childbirths in forties is greater than winning in a local pick 3 lottery.

She was lucky her mother was there when it happened, but, like I said, I wouldn't want to be in her shoes right now.. got enough of my own to fill.

I generally buy a lotto ticket on days when things do go real bad.

I figure in the long run luck averages out.

So I should just buy them when things are going good?

My biggest win still $55 but I'm not up on all your fancy angles here.
