Probably... ...he would not have any of the Java working so his surfing would be more boring. Things like TV listings would not work... ...getting the exposure dealt with is better.

George:)

All right you buncha smart a$$e$ you had your fun  , now tell me what does this mean ... lay language pls

The local computer zone in XP SP2 doesn't have permissions to execute
script, so I'm not sure that there's a real exploit here. I suspect perhaps
the scanner needs to be updated?

When you get SP2, it prompts you to death... ...from what I remember (before I got rid of it) if you allow it, you allow all sites to run Java Scripts. Anyone have a better answer? I'm not totaly sure what actions would be best for Brad.

Regards,
George:)

Does this go along with your statement George?

"JavaScript has nothing to do with Java. They aren't related.
Frank Sxxxxx, MS-MVP, IE/OE

This is the guy that sent me on a mega multi-page fix ... it did not work ...

Looks like you are messed up and getting worse... ...don't ya just love:love: Windows and these damned add-ons which turn out to be a royal pain... ...BTW, SP2=:flush:.

I'd find someone else who knows more about your woes to get things right if I were you.

I'd take a gander at the zone settings... ...the complaint is telling you there is a conflict from the looks of it.

Regards,
George:)
You're right George, I think I know who to ask now. If you want answers to Windoze woes don't ask an MS guy, they're prob the ones who screwed it up to begin with!! :dizzy:

...ya, those kinds of things can conflict and cause problems:agree:... ...there is not enough information clearly written the way I see it for the average Joe/Jane to get this right... ...Windows lets you install many things which will conflict without warning:rolleyes:... ...very STUPID:no: on Microsoft's part:rolleyes:...

RE: Cross Domain Scripting Vulnerability

I may have found a solution, see this link .

The fix calls for:

1) The vendor recommends that the "Drag and drop or copy and paste files" option is disabled.
2) Set security level to high for the "Internet" zone.

However, when I set the Security level to High it always reverts to Medium.
Can anyone suggest why this happens? Am I overlooking anything?

TIA

Be very carefull...a ''fix'' is sometimes part of the problem...Or part of another one.. :agree:

If you don't have a specific solution keep this kind of "advice" to yourself  .
