Technical problem while using Util-6 from Ion Saliu

Hello

I have a problem using the Util-6 software offered by
Ion Saliu at www.saliu.com/infodown.html

:help:

I try to do the frequency report (pairings) but I get always the
answer:
*** ERROR = Bad file name or path not found ***
Type the corresponding file name and path:

I find it very strange  because using the same file and path, I was able to use his program Updown. The file I have is called DataPB6.txt, but I've tried with the DataPB6 log file as well.

The complete path I type is

C:\Programm Archives\MDIEditorLottoWE\DataPB6
or
C:\Programm Archives\MDIEditorLottoWE\DataPB6.txt

It does not work with any of them

Anyone who can help me? I'm trying to check that manually in an Excel file, but I'm getting crazy :bawl:

Many thanks

This may be your problem - but gawd knows

C:\Programm Archives

Don't put a space in that path name

Thanks for your answer, but that's not it  (I have tried it right now)

As I said, with updown.exe it worked using the same file name (the name of the folder has a space on it, that shouldn't be a problem nowadays)

Someone has any other ideas?

Beaker is right....
Put your data elsewhere! Saliu's Util-6 is a old 16bits program which will not handle long file names(LFN) properly. Updown, on the other hand is a 32bits program and it works with LFN.

And you should always use "" when specifying and LFN with spaces inside!

Hope it helps!

Thank you guys! That was it, the name was too long! I just put it under C:\DataPB6 and it worked! I can't believe it, you saved my life!
