I just watched one of the best documentary movies , I have ever seen, entitled supersize Me, availible at your favorite movie rental outlet.
do you like fast food, do you eat out alot.
Watch this movie, trust me, it is a must see:agree:
The director eats at Mcdonalds 3 meals a day for 30 days.
This is a diary of what happens to him in those 30 days.
Watch this, and you will never, ever eat fast food again.
I must say, I eat a fast food burger once a week for lunch on the go, I'm not overweight, but the facts in this movie are undisputable. :agree: :agree2:
SUPERSIZE ME.......RENT IT TODAY!

Fact... Over 100 million Americans are overweight and obese, they eat fast food 3 times a week.
Manhatten has 22 sq miles and 85 Mcdonald outlets.
The Garbage alone produced by the 45,000 outlets would fill the Empire State building each and everyday.
There are over 45,000 McDonalds world wide.
Heart diesease due to obesity is the #2 killer, behind smoking.
Over 44 million Americans have some form of diabetes, due to obesity.

Heh , researches, statistics and documentaries. Show me the money, and you might get any statistics you wish….Once found some official research info claiming that smokes containing almost no nicotine and without any additives are actually no less harmful then regular full of nicotine cigarettes containing hydrogen cyanide, benzene and e other nasty stuff.. At first I was thinking it was some joke, but actually the cheerless fact is people pay something like $ 8 for a pack of cigarettes, without an option to try these BY THE RESERCH no less harmful cigarettes….There is no option less nicotine and no nasty stuff – cheaper smokes, because of the RESEARCH…

Sounds like an interesting documentary and I hope everybody watches it. Eating at McDonald's 3 times a day for 30 days?

The last time I ate at McDonald's they had a chart on the wall listing the fat content in each menu item. It was very high in nearly every item. I haven't eaten there since. I wondered why they even had that chart. Is it a law or something? You would think it couldn't have been done on their own accord because it turned one off when reading it.

Fact: McDonalds is the most popular restaurant in Canada by a long stretch with 3 million customers a day.
Fact: 48% of Canadians are overweight.
Fact: Risk factors for chronic heart disease are appearing in Canadian children as young as six, and type 2 diabetes is becoming common among Canadian girls.

Save your health and ignore McDonald's...unless it is one of their salads.
And don't eat that poutine that Canadians love so much.

That is for SURE cleo
Nothing would kill anyone faster than poutine but I have to admit a fondness for it when I'm in La Belle Province.
It's like that urge to have a Kraft dinner every now and then. :D

I was off from work today so I had the urge to eat out. naturally I chose McDonalds and i brought my three kids there...

We had a blast!!! Hamburger and french fries galore and ice cream to top it all.

I don't know about you but these special time with my kids eating and enjoying with them at McDonald's or any other fast food joint is priceless!!!!

In all seriousness, as long as you watch what you eat most times and do exercise (like me, I play basketball 3 times a week) religiously, then you won't have a problem with obesity or heart/kidney/liver/whatever ailments.

Excercising is not enough, it does'nt get rid of the cholesteral.

Haven’t watched it, but who financed and what is the real purpose of that documentary? Did the author try the same diet at home, buying and making sandwiches, burgers, fried chicken and the other similar stuff at home … Did he find any and eventually compared that amount of hormones, antibiotics and the other nasty stuff in randomly chosen fast food restaurant’s meals to the same stuff from randomly chosen stores. What was the difference between the lettuce and mayo compared to ones found in the randomly chosen stores…At the end, in my opinion, it’s not the fast food’s restaurants fault that people don’t have that much opportunities to have a decent meal at home…

BTW, like to go there once in a while and so far haven’t experienced any problems regarding obesity…:)
At the end, those guys don’t force me to eat there in any way, they just do their business…

Since you said smoking is no1 killer, I would really prefer to see a courage author's movie why people can’t buy cigarettes with an extremely small amount of nicotine and without any additives...

But, so far no author has had that much courage…toooo many moneymaking guys wouldn’t like to see such a movie…

Watch the movie, and your questions will be answered:agree:

Marge, you being a cop makes you the man! Which makes me the woman --and I have no interest in that, besides occasionally wearing the underwear, which as we discussed, is strictly a comfort thing.

Whats Poutine?

Irvin...as a born and bred Quebecker I can tell you that poutine is a French Canadian favourite which consists of french fries covered with a hot gravy with cheese curds which of course melt and makes a gooey, stringy, delicious snack. Highly recommended. If they tell you it's low fat poutine...RUN...cause I don't know what that is.

I was born and bred in Quebec too, Karnac, but don't recall ever seeing poutine up there in my neck of the woods when I was growing up there, but I do remember those cheese curds that came in a bag. :)

Maggie...I know :agree: ... I never saw poutine when I lived in Montreal...the first time I saw poutine was here in Ontario and everyone said was it was from Quebec and I figured it became popular after I came to Ont.(early 70's) When I visited the Gaspe in 2003 it was on most menus we came across so perhaps its a regional favourite. I also remember the steamed hot dogs on St Lawrence Ave. Now I'll have to Google poutine...Here we go http://www.thumper.net/tlkmag/archive/fun/poutine/
