hi sheba....... you are my favorite person posting at this time of year...for the weather.....the work i do in the bush depends on it a lot, and also when our fisheries are open.....cut way back, but not yet super closed like yours....the weather is important...also, we have some animals on the farm here, many outside beef cattle, so the weather is important for that, too....if you can, i would appreciate being directed again to the web posting you had up which showed the cameras, showing live feed from your part of the world....and i will try to find some which show you what it is like here....at the moment, lots of rain and sun in equal amounts each day, and everything changing every twenty minutes when it gets weird.....ie...20 minutes of hail coming down sideways, 20 minutes of bright sunny skies, 2 hours of fog....five hours of drizzle, 15 minutes of hail coming down sideways...and now, it's early afternoon......and the sun is shining.....at least, for now.......

........ ........ rum, warm......just back from cuba.....hee hee

What a "welcome". Came back last from the 3 weeks vacation from the tropics, 30 degrees from where I came and -30 with windchill factor when I landed on Canadian soil. Blowing snow and very slippery roads.

Welcome to reality!

there is an awfull lot of braking records for weather every where
lately!! In my home town in BC , 100 mile house. I of course dont live there anymore...but most part the lakes usually freeze up the first week of december, the ones that did(smaller ) are already thawing, and the big lakes did not fully complete for ice fishing recreation. NOW that it harsh for my home area, being known for sledding ,ice fishing ,ect.. my brother sayed theres no snow even for sledding. Plus my local area here in alberta the ski hill has been closed down .NO snow!! Eastern canada is getting hit hard. Ohhhh.... and many more areas im sure that are racking there brains on this fickleness weather.:dizzy:

.... it's even snowing in ROME, Italy!

Heck two days in a row, that must be a record!
Last year it snowed slightly, just some few hours in one day... but this year it's incredible two days, ice on the roads and everything!

But it's fun nevertheless ;)

I just got home from work, and we had freezing rain again, had that last week for 2 days.
In the span of 5 days we went from minus 38, with the wind chill-45 to plus 8, a few days later, it is currently 6:50 pm my time, and minus 9, with freezing rain

Man peed way out of avalanche

A Slovak man trapped in his car under an avalanche freed himself by drinking 60 bottles of beer and urinating on the snow to melt it.

Rescue teams found Richard Kral drunk and staggering along a mountain path four days after his Audi car was buried in the Slovak Tatra mountains.

He told them that after the avalanche, he had opened his car window and tried to dig his way out.

But as he dug with his hands, he realised the snow would fill his car before he managed to break through.

He had 60 half-litre bottles of beer in his car as he was going on holiday, and after cracking one open to think about the problem he realised he could urinate on the snow to melt it, local media reported.

He said: "I was scooping the snow from above me and packing it down below the window, and then I peed on it to melt it. It was hard and now my kidneys and liver hurt. But I'm glad the beer I took on holiday turned out to be useful and I managed to get out of there."

Parts of Europe have this week been hit by the heaviest snowfalls since 1941, with some places registering more than ten feet of snow in 24 hours.
