Regarding George's announcers......

Hi George...just a question regarding downloading zip file 2145...When I try to download I get an error message: "error: missing 6 bytes in Zip file(attempting to process anyway)" and then "WinZip cannot open this file ...does not appear to be a valid archive." Any suggestions?

I know why, FTP transfer type was Ascii. I changed it to bInary in my automation (a one line change:lol: is all it needed)... ...this makes a big difference:agree: and very important:eek:. Try it now and let me know if you get a good copy of the zip file now.

Thank you George...everything is working fine now....and by the way that's a fine looking website too. Congratulations. I hope it's new and I haven't been missing out on it.:lol: :agree2:

Its brand new... ...I wanted to put a bit of website hosting and HTML coding practice to some good use... ...easy as pie when you know how:agree:. The announcers have been around for a while... ...eventually, a LOGON might be required to get access, haven't decided if I might do this yet... ...when I've got time on my hands I might, time will tell.

I knew exactly why you had trouble with the zip file right away... ...the default in FTP burned me:burnt:, stupid me:rolleyes:... ...can't find good help these days:lol:.

BTW, I can't take the credit for announcers... ...the assistance of Dennis made this possible:agree:... ...I just coded the program to process the data.

Funny thing is that both your link and mine use exactly the same Systran translation engine. Weird. If you go to the actual Systran home site (systransoft.com) and try to translate a url, you will be redirected to my link.
