I hadn't noticed the the prize ammounts for the Ca649 yet, so I was always suprised when some of you guys make big parties about hitting 3in6.....

Looking at the prizes you get:
C$10 for a 3in6
~C$75 for a 4in6
~C$2000 for a 5in6
~C$150K for a 5+B in6
~C$1M for a 6in6

That's why you were so happy, in Portugal we get:
~US$1 for a 3in6
~US$10 for a 4in6
~US$1000 for a 5in6
~US$8000 for a 5+B in6
~US$600K for a 6in6

A bet costs US$0.25, but you need to bet in pairs of bets, so minimum you pay US$0.50 for two bets... A full betting card costs US$2.50 for a saterday draw and US$5.0 for both saterday and monday draws...

So basically the bets are cheaper and we get less money because there are less players?!??

Just wandering how the other Lottery that you guys play are/behave???



Note:Using exchange rate of 1Euro=1US$.... it's not quite that!

6in6 is minimum $2,000,000. Of course it is split evenly between the number of winners.

The other lotto we play here is 7/47 or Super7 which breaks down like this.

The 7in7 is not usually $25,000,000 more like $5,000,000 and there is a big difference between the 6in7 and 7in7 prize for this one.

These prizes never change.

In BC (British Columbia to our non Canadian friends) the payout for 5th (3 hits) is $10.

1st and 2nd payouts are split if there are multiple winners ( as in other provinces).

Ticket cost (per line):
Provincal 6/49 - $0.50 (I think this holds true for all provinces)
National 6/49 - $1.00
National 7/47 - $0.67--> must buy min. 3 lines - $2.00

The national lottos get the lion's share of players, provincial lottos attract less players ... population dependent.
