for a while I thought the Witch Fire was gonna burn through into Encinitas as well.
on sunday before I knew about the fires, I was fishing on the end of the Oceanside pier...wind comin in off th eocean was strong, but hten all of a sudden it was calm and then the Santa Ana winds rolled in fierce...figured there'd be fire trouble in the east...on way home I saw the bank of smoke rollin in down over San Diego...little did I know how wild things would get...lucky not many people have lost their lives this time around
