An observation. I'm sure I'm not alone in noticing this and/or this has been said before on this board (haven't checked) but Pick 3 doubles have a tendency to hit within at least a few days of each other.
I've just briefly looked at winning #s so far this year - I think I counted 44 doubles hitting so far. Of these, I think I counted 32 doubles which hit either the next day after a double previously hit or only 2 days after. I don't know what the statistical average should be, but we might be overdue for more doubles, maybe today or the next day. :)

This is why I said doubles mirage - last time was July 9th so they were due July 12th or 13th :agree:

Question is which ones? :dizzy: Looks like the candidates might come from the numbers from the previous 2 draws which could be as many as 6 numbers.

(In Valley Girl speak) I thought, like, ...2 numbers that are the same in a draw, are like, .... dubbles??

So isn't a repeat double like a double double?

The double of the 12th was definitely due. Overdue. :agree:

Good luck picking numbers, if you decide to go for it. :)

double double :agree:

not common

Well you were close with your 404 if boxed of the other day...
Also can we clarify something? When I read the word "doubles" in this thread, I assumed meant double digits in a number drawn.
And also its not uncommon for double digits to come in clusters of perhaps 3. As in hitting twice (or more) within days of 3 or less and then hitting immediately again. Some months this year have been fairly infested with doubles (digits) and they are difficult to call. Maybe you don't agree but that's my observation.
:)

Yes, that is the way I am using it.

double: is two of the same number in the winning line.
ex. 440 or 969 or 007

Just a quick glance - this clustering seems to happen. Double-double doesn't happen that often

Have to write a quick program to check those stats.

Beaker, if you have the time and it's not too much trouble, could you make some comment about what you found with the (clustering?) stats? Thanks. :)

Beaker, I have limited stats for pick 3 from other years - checking these I see that you are correct (apologies) - over all, "double double" is uncommon. :agree:

btw, since I am looking into this now, does anyone know where I can get stats for pick 3 history for past years?

This 'clustering' definitely happens in Ontario. We are in one right now. After tonite, we should see another double within 3 draws. :agree:
