Pick 3 Match 3 - How to win these games

Does anyone here have a good wheeling system/strategy for the pick 3 match 3 lotteries?

By this I don't mean the american state lotteries that draw numbers like 123, 383, 978 etc. I mean from the UK that consist of 49 numbers, like irish or national lottery.

I have to match 3 numbers from a line of 6 to win a prize.

E.g, say if I play pick 3 from the uk lotto and choose numbers 12, 19, 27 and in the main draw the numbers 3, 8, 12, 15, 19, 27 come up so that means I have won right? (If I only match 2 then you don't win anything)

I hope you understand what I mean. So does anyone here have a good strategy to win these games?
