Being with the one you love at a great entertainment experience can't be beat. :agree2:

That's funny mon! Some younger ones would prob look at you kinda funny if you mentioned 45's or LP'S. They'd wonder what the heck you were talking about! :)

btw, what was that thingy you stuck in the middle of a 45 called anyways? :p:

Maggie....I've seen it called a spindle adapter or a plastic insert, although it seems to me there was another name for it.

I'm pretty sure there was another name for it, too. I have a bunch of yellow plastic ones still laying around.

We have some 78's passed down to us, but no way to play them, still got all my old vinyl records, 33, and 45's.
Got a box full of 8 tracks too. I just hate to get rid of this stuff. I still have the 8 track player, in the garage, in working order.

Showing My Age? I Remember When....

Howdy folks,

In my illiterate days as a preteen, we had the newest sounds out on the 45's, 331/3's, 78's and an old gramma phone with cylinders playing some of the darndest music (black bottom, huckabuck, Andrew Sisters and The Lone Ranger Rides Again, Rudy Valley and The Buster Brown Show with---I later found out---Plunkin a magic plunger and a frog came out with a "hi ya kids Hi-ya, hi-ya!) This last one was on a cylinder prior to the 331/3 then it went on radio and finally on tv. You know the type tv that was out? Had about a 12" screen and 301 fiddle knobs and weighed a ton? So long ago! Oh yeah, "Rag Mop" was on one of the cylinders, too!

Bet Peter remembers some of that stuff, right?

I hear that you traded in your old transportation (dinosaur) for a newer wreck---one of those "pushmobiles" called a Kanardly---can hardly get up the next hill. I believe that I did see it on "The Antiques Road Kill" or was "The Road Show?" Whatever...
