Might be something worth looking into for those that play the same tickets for each draw.

It is definitely a good idea. I have been subscribing to these for the past 7 years now. Unfortunately, I have not won the big prize either. Just several 4 numbers and three number prizes so far.

Also good if you travel a lot in your job like I do, so that I'm covered every draw in case I'm out of town.

This 14% bonus is ideal for those who belong to a lottery pool that would buy at least three 6/49 tickets anyway. If you are a smart player that doesn't buy more than one ticket per draw, then don't bother wasting another $5 just to get an extra $1 ticket.

I wish I could take advantage of the savings suggested above, but I'm perplexed at how anyone can afford to fork out that much money for lotto.

I play a maximum of 6 lines ($12) when the jackpot is really high, but normally I just play 3 lines.

As much as I appreciate everyone's input in these forums (particularly the first class work that people like Peter, Beaker and Karnac do) I just can't imagine throwing so much money at a game in which my odds of winning are very slim.

My budget is the same which means fewer tickets played. I played BIG for that $24,000,000 and got a little back but I don't do that every draw.

Of course with these $2 tickets, it's a little harder to cover more combos, but always play within your budget.

Perhaps we'll see some of our newer players contribute more - they seem to think they have some better ideas. Indeed lotterydream, post YOUR thoughts if you want.

If you normally "just" play 3 lines, then the Encore promotion is ideal for you. You just have to fork over an extra $1 to get another free Encore ticket.

You are correct that one should not throw too much money at such a negative-sum game. Playing 3 lines for every single 6/49 & Super 7 draw costs a whopping $936 every year. One ticket for each draw is enough entertainment TAX, and you could put the other $624 into a REAL INVESTMENT such as index mutual funds.

The people who are financially secure like me became so not by OVERSPENDING on lotteries but through INVESTING properly such as real estate and equities.

Lotterydream, I would certainly echo, Beakers comments. i look at the lotto as an entertainment, and we budget an entertainment amount into our family expenses, wether it be a night of dining, or a night at the movies, perhaps I'm a bit more fortunate than some, and do play more, but I do keep within a limit.
If you have a passion, and a desire to win, you must treat this as a hobby, and put some effort into this hobby, by following and tracking the lotto. There are some here, who share that passion, and are willing to share, and some who are here for a different agenda.
If you share that passion, jump in and participate, ask questions, and discuss, and play what is comfortable for you.

Rereading Lotterydreams post, I can sense his/her frustrastion at playing 3 lines and not winning, my point I was trying to convey about the best bet could help a novice player, who on a small budget, might feel the excitement about winning a few dollars, and perhaps that excitement could down the road translate into perhaps larger winnings,
I must say, I take this opportunity to slam back at those newbies, which really have shown a lack of respect to some of the senior posters, I don't recall to much from them in the way of helpful, and useful information to their fellow novice players, and yet think it is their right to slam those that contribute freely, on a regular basis, some of you, and you know who you are, should do some looking in the mirror.
Will this post get some nasty replies, I'm sure it will, I've rethought my position, and to be here to help someone like Lottery dream makes it worthwhile, and for those trolls who wish to attack, attack away.
