Lady Luck strikes again

By KATE SCHWASS, TORONTO SUN

Majken Church is Lady Luck herself, winning more than $1.1 million in prizes in just three years through the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation Cash and Cars Lottery. An early-bird winner this year, Church picked up a bright red 2003 Ferrari 360 F1 Modena along with a cheque for $500,000 at the hospital yesterday.

In 2000, Church was one of the grand prize winners, winning a home in Oakville valued at $370,000.

Dr. Bob Bell, vice president and chief operating officer of the hospital, presented Church with her new wheels and cheque.

"I want to go to Las Vegas with this woman and have her play my hand of blackjack," Bell said.

And although she really likes the $300,800 car, she admitted she will likely sell it.

"I've already had some offers," Church said. Tickets for the lottery are still on sale.
