I would love to see the numbers of actual money in ticket sales, even if they would be selling half as much tickets then you'd think it would be the same if you just multiply by two. I think where they would lose big is the people who play pools, if yoy play $30. or $50. twice a week and that's doubled I would think they would lose alot.

I would think to get sales higher you would increase the other prizes, but then again this is the gov't, where backward thinking takes over :clown:

Ok, I need the winning numbers for this week too :)

The money is exactly double of ticket sales, I would think it would be more unless the OLC has a weird way of counting the sales. I wonder what the actual $$ coming in was before the change and after the change.

Though hopefully they are selling more, I'm sure that money will go right into health care ;)

If you compare last nites $5.8 million ( supposed to be $4 milliion) with an old $5 million May 29th draw that Sheba has posted you get ticket sales 63.8% of what they were and the total $$ sales 78.3%.

I don't think this is what the corp wanted. When ticket sales get between 50-60% of what they were before, these BIG jackpots will start eating away the profits.

Exactly.
I have no idea what the thinking was that went into their decision as it just doesn't make sense. They will loose on the people that buy alot of tickets and can't afford the 100% hike twice a week. :dang:

But I really can't understand that they think that people will buy alot more lottery tickets if the prize is 25 million instead of 10 or 15, couldn't spend that in a lifetime.
Would have had a better chance at selling more if they incresed the botton prizes instead. :agree2:

Greed!!!!Look at the overall picture...All the regional lotto Corporations are making much more money now...Some stupid folks (That were the first to refuse carrying a protest sign at the rallye... ) are even buying scratchers tickets now instead of buying 6/49 National... :bawl:

I just received from Lotto-Québec a response from my official complaint...
They said that they don't take any opinion from compulsive players... :dang:
This is how they are treating their clients...
I wrote back immediatly stating that as soon as I'll win a big chunk...I'm going to see that the person in charges of public relations there get fired...I'm ready to invest big bucks into that...

Ummm, do they think that they have 7 or 8 million different players each week ?? that's like a department store having a suggestion box but only allow suggestions from people who don't shop there

Certainly can tell this is gov't run operation:mad:

Dennis:

Why did they respond and identify you as a compulsive player??? I'd say this is a horrible insultant and direct slap in the face! I'd send another polite e-Mail and explain you are out-raged:burnt: if I were you.

Regards,
George:)
