Calgary is holding, hooking, grabbing....And mostly doing interferences all the time....
The Flames can consider themselves lucky to have the officials on their side otherwise Tampa would have won it already...
:dang:
Unless I watched a different game, i'D HAVE TO ASK, AN tAMPA WAS'NT HOLDING AND HOOKING, AND PLAYING DIRTY.

Wake up Peter your sleeping on the games...The Flames are there because they are masters at holding the players without the puck..a total aberration of the NHL rules book... The officials should be wearing a Calgary sweater it is the only thing that don't have ...Everything else is for Calgary...I'm kind of glad that they don't have a stick into their hands...

Tampa might win the next two games.... :agree: :agree2:

You were right Dennis!

The Calgary Goons lost the Stanley Cup to Tampax Bay

Too many penalties due to their undisciplined hockey play, and lack of experience from coach Sutter who kept changing the lines way too often. :teach:

They should have given them a shot of B12, compliment of Dr. FeelGood.

Thats because theren are 20 players better than he is, plain and simple.

Well...Well...He (Vincent Lecavalier) certainly did an awesome play to prepare the second goal tonite....Where were your 20 better players???
I still can't find any reason why he won't be in the next world cup...
Talking about that game tonite...The best team won..The series would have been shorter if the rules were applied...I thought that a hit from a high stick was an automatic 5 minutes ...Especially when there was blood coming from the victimised player..
If they don't want to see this kind of circus in the future they'll have to clean up their act...Or every team will get more players recruited in the most vicious garage leagues in the country.. :dang:

You're right again Dennis, circus and vicious are the words. :teach:

The Flames went very far without many injured good players, but still, as you mentionned so well, they have to clean up their act and get some serious discipline, otherwise the other teams will start recruiting goons.

This serie was nothing like the good Stanley Cup playoffs I enjoyed watching on T.V. when I was a child (late 50's). :crap:

They won't be there next year and for many years to come (Calgary)....But Tampa is a force now...They'll be around for some years... :agree: :agree2:

Toronto is the next Canadian club that will get it...Trust me... :agree: :agree2:
But if Brian Murray gets the job in Ottawa...Ottawa might win it first...I know him personnally...From way back when he was coach of the Rockland National(a team from junior A league)
He won the Centennial cup back then with that team...
They defeated Spruce Grove in the final...
My brother played on that team...Another player named Leroux played on that team too..He move after with the Indiannapolis Racers (a former club in the IHL) Leroux was a very small player but very resiliant just like Martin St-Louis...The Racers had Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier back then...Now I'm going to ask you Who was the leading scorers in that team...??
I'm sure you are going to tell me Wayne Gretzky...
Wrong answer ...It was Leroux he outscore Gretzky by 20 points that year..You can check on that if you want ..It is true...
It is the only club or league that Gretzky played and ended up the second best scorers in his entire life...
You never heard about Leroux..They said to him that he was too small..But after seeing him played he was the best player that I have ever seen played the game...
:agree:

I got a phone call last night after the game...They are offering me a job....They call it '' The coaches corner''....
I said that I was too colorful for that kind of job...

Lets all start your hockey education with this...
http://www.cjahl.com/e/rbc/rbc_1976.html

That team was the best team in hockey that I have ever seen to this date...Including any team in the pros and in Europe...
They were so fast that it was hard to follow them play...
In that series against Guelph they were losing the series 3 games to zip....A lot of players were injured so they lined up only 13 players for the first 4 games...In the fourth game played in Guelph they pulled a win coming up from behind in the third period that was so outstanding and incredible that I still wonder today how they did it??
I was there... :agree:
They won the last 4 games...
