And guess what, they wanna raise the 649 prices to $2 to justify higher jackpots??????

Sure

All they have to do is just rasie the Jackpots to $5 million min , NOT increase ticket prices and sell more just like S7 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they'd make more of a killing than the ticket price increase, either way, some real knucleheads at 649 marketing management

instead of one jackpot of $5 mil, i'd rather see several jackpots of 1 or 2 or 3 million, with all the subsidiary prizes....draw several sets of winning numbers instead of one......

That was the total take for the month of January! Remember all these bonus draws are from money not previously claimed. But even if you take that total minus $96,633,613.3 which was the total they gave away minus the free tickets, they made a profit of $140,177,770.7. That number is mind blowing and all they could do for this last draw was up the jackpot by $2.5 million dollars! Unbelievable.

For the only other draw with a jackpot of more than $30 million, Lotto Stupid 7 sales exceeded $102 million! That means, EVERY man, woman AND CHILD in Canada bought more than $3 worth of tickets on average. In the words of the lottery corporation, "JUST IMAGINE" if that $339 million spent in January was instead used productively in RRSPs or to pay off debt.
