"A family in Auckland, New Zealand got an unexpected surprise from outer space when a meteorite, the size of a grapefruit, plummeted from the sky and crashed into their home.

After the space rock, weighing nearly 1.3 kilograms, crashed through the roof it bounced off the ceiling and a couch before finally rolling under a computer.

Brenda Archer, the owner of the home, said her one-year-old grandson had been playing near-by when the meteorite landed.

“It's unbelievable ... I'm just glad no one was sitting on the couch … cause they just would have got absolutely crowned,'' she said.

But this object isn’t simply a piece of space junk, experts believe it’s a chunk of an asteroid and could be worth up to $6,000.

The Archers are either going to sell the rock or hand it over to a local museum.

It’s the ninth meteorite found in New Zealand and the first ever to hit a home in the country.

Let's play SpaceBall!!

Size of a grapefruit eh? Somebody way out there hit a home run!!

In our ancestral beliefs...(I still believe most of it) It talks a lot about flying objects...
Fire and ice were always associated with any appearances...
Scientists found many interpretations about these appearances the're still debating about it...Have been for years now...
dark-blue objects moving from all sides at times even going up and down...
''Thunderbirds'' the old ones used to call them...
I saw many in my lifetime...
One day one it is going to drop on top of us....to reminds all of us of its presence in space and time...

The Oracle has sends his apologies to the Archer's.

You see my most dedicated servant, Lisa, entertains the Oracle playing contemplative celestial music, but sometimes when I'm not looking she entertains herself blowing on burning incense sticks to make flying sparks, eh! eh!

I guess some fell downstairs. It won't happen again, sorry
