Geenie has been playing Ontario 49 for months now... ...its half price compared to 6/49 and it might be $1 when the price changes. Being half price now (and should still be like that), the chance of getting $1M is better and 4 hitters are always $50 no matter what the winnings for a draw are. Switching over had some work involved and a learning curve (so I'm told) depending on what you procedure for choosing what to play is... ...the hardest part is getting to know the personality of numbers in Ontario 49 which is probably second nature to you right now in 6/49.

Can't say I blame him for just playing the prov lottery.
When the price goes up I am planning on just playing my 2 regulars and going mostly with the prov myself. I will be able to pik my own by then but for now it is just insta piks for the prov's.

I've always wondered about your insta piks... ...I am sure every province does thier own thing (Quebéc is allowed to pick all 3 lines for Super 7 and Ontario gets those 2 damned random lines as a prime example)... ...looks like the rest of Canada has Quick Picks. The reason why out your way like this is different, is beyond me. Its a marketing issue I'd say.

Our prov game is still a baby it has only 136 in it history so far with it being played on both Wednesday and Saturday as an ADD ON Game to the lotto 649. But come May it will be a stand alone game and we will be able to pick out own numbers. I also think more people will play this once the lotto 649 goes up to 2.00..
Super seven here is like Quebec, We can pick all 3 lines but as you noticed I am not doing too well with any of my piks and I can't win on that game either...

Hum, interesting... ...here in Ontario, everything is called Quick Pick regardless of 4/69, Ontario 49, or Super 7. Out there, they figured insta pik was more appealing I guess... ...its nothing more than marketing crap on what sounds better to customers in thier opinion...

That's correct lucky, it was my new years resolution NOT to play 649 this year or any other year at $2 / per, i'll play again when they realize their mistake in a year or 2 and drop it back down.-)

I only play ontario 649 at 50 cents /per and Ont keno.

Gsobier i was informed on more than 1 occasion that NONE of the other Ontario lottos would be affected, ie their staying exactly as they are now - i hope at least unless their lying.

If there is no change in price, I'll say bye, bye to 6/49 in June. 2 plays for $1 with a set amount of $50 for a 4 hitter is really good deal. Look at 6/49... ...sometimes a 4 hitter is less than $50! One more thing is no bonus draws.
