vivy here is a basic description of lottery wheels.

There are very precise mathematical formulas for designing lottery wheels - mathematical methods that create covering design. I am no expert here I just use them to create tickets.

Nick Koutras, a member here, has a very extensive collection of mathematical papers at his site - he is an expert on covering design.

Here is an example:

Take 12 numbers

1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5- 6- 7-8-9-10-11-12

now, arrange those 12 numbers in 6 tickets like this:

1-2-3-4-5-6
1-2-3-7-8-9
1-2-3-10-11-12
4-5-6-7-8-9
4-5-6-10-11-12
7-8-9-10-11-12

With this wheel, if 6 of the winning numbers are in your 12 you are guaranteed 1 ticket with 4 numbers in it.

for example 1-3-6-9-11-12

Ticket 3 has 1-3-11-12 for example.

LOL, who would have thought that a ghost from the past will appear, but here I am, in passing :)...when I look at this thread, I'm actually sad how quickly time has passed, unfortunately I didn't win the jackpot, the only win was before more than ten years ago 5/6 with the help of lotto creo pro...lotto pyramid had an interesting concept with trilines and vibratility, but I never won anything, not even 3/6...anyways, as far as I can see the company has been out of business for a long time, you could try wayback machine...I lost my copy, I think the demo had 30 uses or so and the registration serial was linked to hard disk id... in any case, I wish you luck and now I'm moving on, see you again, maybe after 21 more years :)
