Blitzed, lotto group’s rules have to be clear from the onset, but in Quebec, when you play groups, you ask the retailer for whatever copy’s of the tickets you want, and instantly Loto Quebec knows how many members you have, since they register the original and the copies, only the original ticket can be cash. Sounds like Lotto Quebec could teach the OLG a lesson or 2 (or 25!). At work in Ontario we just make a photocopy of the tickets and write the names of all the group members on the sheet then give everyone a copy before the draw.

Blitzed is right -- you can't be too careful. One is always hearing stories of someone who declined to be part of a group and then sued for a share after a big win.
