Hi Thornc

Here is a few things that are positive about this board.
1) First of all I love playing the lotto and trying to figuring out what numbers will be drawn, before this board I had no one to do this with,
2) there are so many nice and helpful people here(when there are no conflicts) with so many different methods of choosing numbers its fun to have these discussions and try to bring it all together.
3) I have yet to find another lotto forum this active with so many members that all talk about lotto.
4)I have learned so much here and in some strange way I feel like I have formed some sort of lotto friendship with alot of people here (its a shame to whats been going on )
5) and last but not least i find since joining the board i have accumulated alot of helpfull information in playing the lotto ,I am convinced one day one of us will win big!!! and it will be great to here!!

I echo Mon's comments ...

By now it should be obvious that I care about what happens to this BB. Beaker already asked me a while back about the date I joined, so you may have noticed I have been been part of it for a long time.
When it initially started there was no need to register to read, so actually I've been frequenting this Forum since almost the beginning. I have seen many good and bad things here and I find it hard not to comment when I see the way some ‘elder’ members behave at times.

So one of the things I was trying to show was that engaging trolls has not worked. Now based on some of the above responses I have a few questions:

If your approach to combatting trolls works so well why are they still here?
And why are they mainly or exclusively attacking only a handful of people?
If they’re so offensive why haven’t you asked LT directly to ban them at first sign of trouble since you’ve known they were trolls right from the start?

And if you don’t know where the ‘report’ button is I will show you.

I have no reason to defend trolls ... if they're warned at first, ignored and they still persist in flaming or being vulgar then ban them all at second offence, I don’t care if it’s LottoBug, ChrisJ, Nipsirc, or whomever.

But, if you goad them for some sort of entertainment, and then complain about being swamped with trolls, the whole thing becomes a laughable farce.



PS Thornc, the problem is the ignore button apparently doesn't work for some people ... and grappling in private only works if both the parties stick to the agreement ...

We can add something like a temporary ban period of 1week,2week or a month! If after a first temporary ban someone continues it will be final!

but my question would be it has been stated that even when Lt bans these "trolls" they can also register under different names, how would one be able to ban them for 1-2-3 weeks if thats what they do???

There are many ways some of them drastic... one ban by using for example the email ddress but one can come down to the point of banning an IP address... or possibly even the network address! There are solutions, but some you don't want to use unless you have to!

now another thing that I think people should keep in mind is that with so many members there are so many different personalities and so many different ways of thinking, members should try and not take everything to heart and remember that we are here for the game . everyone has thier way of playing the game and thier methods of figuring it out. we may not always agree but there is no real reason to argue about it is there? and if some ones personality rubs you the wrong way ignore it! I do! just nod smile and ignore haha there will always be people with very big egos and people that are only happy when they make other people misserable no matter where we are. The way this board is going there is hardly anymore real discussions only fighting and soon there wont be any reason to have this board anymore. I have stopped posting on the 6/49 threads because of all the fighting and stick to super7 because it seemed quieter but lately fighting has started there . so as an old saying goes act you age not your shoe size this has gotten very old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
keep to the game check personal egos at the door and like someone once told me if you dont have someything nice to say dont say anything.
i am not pointing at anyone in particulare but let me just say if my kids acted the way some of you do i would kick there **** through a wall.
we had a great group for the longest time and its a shame that things have turned out the way they have.

Brad, I do remember some of your older problems with Dennis... but I thought you both had arrived to the agreement of ignoring each others... maybe your problem needs to be discussed in private!

Peter, I understand your point of view and I do share most of it... but sometimes I have to agree that if one doesn't know you, some of your opinions can seem rude!

He had his chance and used it to misinterpret negatively what I have sended privately to him to try to bashed me even more ...Behind a mask he seems O:K: but it is only an illusion...Nobody should trust that person...He is not open to any kind of discussions at all ...He is on my ignored list and he has been for quite a while but it is not enough for him..And that is why he always reply to my posts but I don't even read what he's saying to you I'm not interested in the crap he is delivering....

By not banning out these Trolls LT is banning a lot of great discussions on this board...
Since that kind of Troll's behaviour just had a green light by only giving small warning repetitevely(abusing words,Free attacks on people,private stuff posted on the board, wrong accusations...)Get ready for much more abuse in the future...I won't take part in any way to that kind of crap... Since that crap is now tolerated on the board I won't post much here either....And I will encourage more good posters to limit their contributions to the minimum here...
LT you are making a tragic mistake here...It is your board you take it where you want to...

I knew it would come to this. Hence, I have long been seldomly coming to this site unlike I used to.

The people that were here first try to own this site and implement what they think is right. Good for them but not for the general public.

I was never the troll and would never be. But I am the kind of guy that would not back down from anything especially if I know that I am right. I don't care who you are. But if you attack me, you are going to get it back threefolds.

The best thing for this site is to ban IP addresses of people who are known trolls whether it is Peter, Beaker, Dennis, Brad, Lottobug, ChrisJ or whomever. I don't really give a damn. That is the only way you can eliminate multiple identities like the King has here.....

Get it back to where it was before this group started the fights and provoking, gauding, taunting, insinuating, etc.

If you go back in history, you would see that the fights here are always been started by a few "select" people here all the time. Why not ban them instead even though they are "friends".

I don't really care anymore. Do what you want.... or continue to allow this bunch of people to run this board and counts the days to extinction.

Funny how things always need to come to a head before some realize how serious a problem is, so let’s not forget how easy it is to misread someone’s intentions.

Bassboss was obviously looking into the mirror when he wrote that paragraph because almost everything he says about me is exactly what he’s done. He just conveniently turned it around.

How feeble must he think people are to believe his outright lies? Everything he’s done reflected exactly that, back-check my posts on the issue and you’ll see.

I try to ignore him to the point where he starts spouting his worn out “backstabber” routine and only then I speak out to defend myself, every time … because he throws it out almost routinely, knowing it’ll get me to respond.

Why does he call me that? Only because I had the nerve to tell him publicly what I think of him about a year ago now … ever since then he has been hassling me at every chance when he thought he could get away with it.

Let’s be clear on this point, when I said I didn’t want an e-mail from Bassboss few months back, it meant exactly that, contrary to what he says transpired earlier.

But then (I don't know what I was thinking) I offered a chance a few days ago to help stop this madness, again ... just so you know, I got no response ...

Now, if someone from here, him included, mails me again against my wishes, I will post the message in its entirety, not just a few selected quotes which I decide are pertinent to prove a point ... since I didn't ask for it then I’ll treat it like the spam it is, pure and simple.


So if he p****s me off again I may just post his whole previous mail here to expose the two-faced braggart completely! That's my ace card and he knows it ...

And then you can decide who to trust!!


You malign me again and I will respond … I’ve said this before Bassboss … you are the one that behaves like an in-house troll …

charles2, that is a good idea... but I doubt it could work (from a technical stand point and probably fiscal also) . Beaker's extrapolation of that is a bit better... but also difficult to implement...

My first question to you is why can't you behave like you are doing here everytime?

I didn't do anything to provoke it, but got it... but let bigons be bygones!
I apologize for my reaction at the time, but you deserved it!
About the behaviour of older members, I see you point, but have you tried to see theirs? Some have created routines here, they set-up rules and you can't expect someone to come barging in and throw it all away....

So let's try to continue and let's see if we can turn this into a construtive discussion....

I agree with thornc - this feud seems beyond help.

I don't want to stick my nose in this very public feud which is none of my business but Brad/Dennis is there anything other members can do to help resolve this? This back and forth flaming is not healthy especially from two great contributors to the board.

And if anyone doubts their contributions just as Nick or Andrew - both have benefitted immensely developing software from these two members.

Just for the record I usually never get involved in these kind of discussions, but I feel that we are loosing sight of what this board was set up to do, its a lotto discussion board where things should be light hearted and focused on lotto or in other threads other adult discussions, not all this fighting
