Since there has been so many prices not claimed.And a biggie not claimed from last April.
I was discussing with my friends.There must either be a lot of novice players.PLaying this game lately.Or a lot of forgetful people.
Is it only ontario where the prices are forgotten to be claimed.
And holy cow the 30 million dollar price not claimed.I think if that had been me.I would have been totally beside myself.
I guess on our part it is terrific that the prices are not claimed.Hence the bonus draws.
Thanks for the idol chat.I am just amzed at the amount of large prices not claimed.When seconds after the numbers are drawn I am on the internet checking my numbers.

There are always some silly people who go to the trouble of spending money on a lottery ticket, but are too unorganized to keep it safe and double-check the numbers before throwing it out. Usually around 3% of prizes go unclaimed. Back in 1989, a $4.6 million 6/49 jackpot went unclaimed. It seems that every month at least one major prize expires worthless.

I'm surprised there aren't thousands of unemployed people and beggars going to Brantford to scour every inch of the town for the $30 million missing treasure. The OLGC should be doing a lot more in finding the $30 million winner. They know the exact store and time that the winning ticket was bought at. They should ask the retailer if there is security video in the area, then the retailer should remind every customer to check their April 11 ticket.

And then the ticket was lost.
That the clerk at the store threw out the ticket as a piece of trash.

I wonder if most of the unclaimed prizes are for quick pick / lucky dip tickets?

They should have a system like in Australia. You have a card with all your details on it. You hand this to the cashier with your picks and then take the tickets. If you win a prize and forget to collect a cheque (check) is sent to you automatically after so many weeks. So lottery outfits should offer you the option of having a card with your info so if you are too sensitive to big brother then you dont need to apply for one of these cards and run the risk of not always collecting on a winning ticket.

There will be 30 million stories about "the one that got away." If you only have a photocopy of a winning ticket, you can still claim the prize (after additional verification procedures). The winner is most likely a solitary player who chose a randomly generated combination but lost the ticket.

I saw the store that is rumoured to have sold the ticket. Here are some other possibilities:

- $30 million LOSER is a single guy who included the ticket in his laundry.
- The results weren't checked correctly so the ticket was thrown away as a loser.
- Winner has something to hide and is waiting until the last day to claim, e.g., theft, divorce.
- If you drove 15 km to buy the Super 7 ticket, your odds of getting killed is twice as much as winning the jackpot!

I did the old laundry trick once, with half a dozen tickets, looked all over "H" for those things, found the evidence later.
at least the big one was won that time so I didn't feel so bad , maybe I only missed the 2nd prize
is that an excuse for not doing laundry anymore, since I cdon't check the pockets and my better half does?????
