True words indeed, I have said before, I'm sure most of us have stumbled here because of our passion for the lotto, so lets try and focus our energy as hard on that, as some of the crap that got posted.
Hopefully along the way we do some winning and have fun and meet some interesting people.
Life is just to short.

Since my name was dragged into this, well, now I feel I have to respond. I have to stand up for what I feel, and I feel patronized by so many here. But I just accept the subtle patronizations and let them roll off, as it's the experience and the knowledge that I'm after. Yeah, it's primarily a male dominated board but whatever.

The guy is not so much some "troll" as he really is from a different world. Or do you put quite a few on this board into the same box? The above comments are not really fair. I'm not being duped so don't think that I am. I would expect that most on this board consider themselves "real players" or else they wouldn't have the courage to post and stick it out. So who exactly are you talking about as not being real players? What do you mean, it's nothing but lies from a few individuals? In your own view or this other person's? How can you speak for anyone but yourself? Except for a few individuals most of those posting on this board are quite respectful... You are only a "sucker" if you want to be. I for one, am aware that it's all been "smoke and mirrors" from pretty much the start, and yeah, he can be a bully, but he's a "trickster" character. In some cultures that's the theatre of the soul and it's part of that culture's reality. Like said elsewhere, the world he was born into was virtual - surreal.

The unhappy truth is, people are never on top for very long. Once, many moons ago, he was doing relatively well. But to go around bragging that you are number one (expecially when you already have some psychological complexes going on) is just setting yourself up for a nasty fall. It's totally naive behaviour. This was all too obvious - from the beginning! The inevitable fall, then the ego really hurts so the only way to defend the ego is to hurl insults and offences at every one else. And to persist in this behaviour to the point where believing it yourself, is a road to being certifiable. So it's sad, not a reason for anyone to get up on some soap box.

Dinner production indeed. I expect people to be mature enough to remain friends and to continue to talk lotto.

Hi Mirage,

sorry if I sounded patronizing because that was not my intent. The reason I responded to you was not to single you out (hence 'et al.') but rather to inform.

The word "players" in my post was meant as "actors", it had nothing to do with lotto.

It looked to me like you were feeling sorry for Bassboss (the post I responded to in the other thread) and I wanted to make you aware that you and others were being manipulated by a character (his self-description), for reasons he should explain himself.

When I say 'character' I mean exactly that. After the last altercation I had with him, bfr Xmas I think, he forced an e-mail on me where he explained that he assumes a persona when on this BB (he can tell you why, I won't go into that). Apparently only a handful of members know about his ruse, some may even participate in it, and he has already let it slip on this BB that he's used many aliases also.

Now think of all the possibilities this presents to the imagination, like Bassboss actually interacting with himself using various aliases .... I'm sure you can take it from there and apply it to other scenarios.

He thinks he did me a favour by finally coming clean in the mail he sent, but what he didn't realize is that I had caught on to his shenanigans long before that ... that's why I kept repeatedly insisting to him to leave me out of it for many months now.

To make this shorter, although I said it a few times before, I find his comments and actions toward me and others inflammatory, nonsensical, insulting, degrading, and so on ... being 'in character' is a poor excuse for any of it.

Bassboss came back the other day and basically picked up where he left off. It wasn't until he 'dragged' me back into it with his last post that same day that I responded ... despite promising to 'leave me alone' ... now we've come here.

That's why I asked 'do you want to be part of this?' It's your choice of course, I wanted to make sure you knew the 'behind the scene' story ... and it really has nothing to do with lotto as I mentioned bfr.
