Interim Performance Report
So, we've been picking numbers for almost 7 months now -- how are we doing? The following statistics are inclusive of the last draw on July 26th, 2014.
Frank has calculated that the benchmark for average performance is 2.8 numbers out of 20. Almost all players are exceeding this statistic.
Since not all players have participated in every draw, I have calculated the average number of hits for each player and also the percentage out of 20 numbers x the number of draws in which each member participated.
Each players name is followed by the average matches to the 7 winning numbers, the number of hits/number of draws X 20 and the resulting percentage.
Random 3.3 196/1200=16.33%
Frank 3.0 180/1200=15.07%
Jol 3.0 130/860=15.12%
LotteryHits 3.0 121/800=15.15%
Blitzed 2.9 146/1020=14.3%
Ramijami 2.9 144/1000=14.4%
Icewynd 2.8 170/1200=14.17%
Niteowl 2.5 113/900=12.6%
So, for the moment at least, Random numbers rule!
However, Random got off to a blazing hot start, scoring 11 hits of 5 matches or higher, without the offsetting 0 or 1 hits that most of us have experienced.
As a group, however, I would say that we are doing very well.
Lottery Hits deserves special mention as the only player to match the 6 main numbers in his 20 picks, for a potential Jackpot win.
