how many spokes on your wheel ?

Many of you are posting either 10, 12, 15 or 20 numbers for 6/49 or Super 7. Given that I believe all of you are using wheels, what I would like to know is how many spokes (tickets) are on your wheel ?
Are you going for 3/6 or 4/6 as a minimum win ?

I have so many that I can't post them here but I always play a 5/5 garranty wheel 30 lines ...I have a DN on it...The best abreviated wheels are the 3/3 the 4/4 and the 5/5...but some 4/5 and 5/6 or 6/7, 7/8 are good too...it depends on your budget but the best ones are the full wheels of course...but they cost a lot.

Here's the one that I play....
Pick 6
Numbers=9 + DN= 10
Guaranty=4/4 or 5/5 (with DN and 4 others)
LINES=30

Talking about a compromise...lol...lol..lol..
you still have a 4/4 garranty if the DN miss target
and a shot at 5..but when your DN hits target with 4 others
you cash a lot and play for free for quite a while..

I'll use both LT's '20 Number Lotto Wheel'
and from 10 to 30 combinations using the trial 'Ldir Wheeling System' .

The number of combination will depend alot on the prize money, also how the previous draws looked.

eg: If last two draws were high sums, I'd take the next to be a low sum. If it went high then low, it's a bit more tough. I'd take fewer combinations unless more money was there to win.

Have Fun Wheeling!

More Lines more money in return

Hey Dwoods

I play 20 lines for 11 ABBREV. system most of the times but that's for the provincial lottery.
The best is what Dennis has mentioned. 4/4 or 3/3
At the end it's the budget that controls us.

Dwoods,
you could also make a simple wheel.

Break the large group into small sets of numbers of 2 or 3.
Combine them together in sets of 2's for a better chance to win, 3 for a budget draw.

eg: a group of 12 numbers could be mixed to cost either
$20 with sets of 2 numbers
(1,2,3)(1,2,4)(1,2,5)(1,2,6)(1,3,4)(1,3,5)(1,3,6)
(1,4,5)(1,4,6)(1,5,6)(2,3,4)(2,3,5)(2,3,6)(2,4,5)
(2,4,6)(2,5,6)(3,4,5)(3,4,6)(3,5,6)(4,5,6)

3 numbers in each set for only $6
(1,2)(1,3)(1,4)(2,3)(2,4)(3,4)

Even 15 numbers mixed into sets of 3 costs just $10
18 for $15

It's not bad price for the cheap wheel, but it's less chance to win.

That is a very nice approach when looking at certain tendancies of the numbers to come in groups (or trends of groups)....
I agree with Picard here! :agree: It's also a nice way to play around with LDs...

Came across an interesting wheel recently, one that guarantees 4x 3 win min., if 2 nrs are predicted correctly, in 33 lines...

One has to play 3 sets of 2 nrs; the wheel will give a profit if just one set is correct. May be better suited to regional 6/49s where it would cost $16.50 per draw.

Haven't used it myself but it could be good for when one is 'sure' that a pair will show.

If anyone has any thoughts on this, or would like to see the wheel, I can post it.

Cheers, Brad

Hi dwoods,

here it is, I'm using 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 as the three nr sets; I guess one way to make this wheel applicable to any 3 nr sets is to use a spread sheet assigning variables to all 49 nrs, where the sets are are placed in positions 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6, then the rest of the nrs (shown as 7 to 49 in my example) will fall into place.

Thanks Dennis for posting your wheel. I have picked some of the lines. But playing all of them is too expesive for me on Super 7. Thanks again.:cold:

Gwen, 42 lines can be a lot (unless you win!), and that's why filtering them is an option. You can filter out lines that don't contain enough odd or even numbers, or the total sum. Get a trial version of Lotto Pro to do this.

Hi Dennis

Actually I've downloaded a trial version on Lotto Pro 2000 before. My 15 day trial is up and I cannot access the programme any more.

 Dennis, how does that work ? Super 7 is national, and over here in the west you pay $2 for 1 ticket plus 2 quick pick selections. The only choice I get is 1 out 3 for $2. So 42 lines would be $84. Are the rules different out east ?

Yes Dwoods and I believe it is so out west in B.C. and in some eastern provinces too...this is why I can afford that wheel ...actually I sometimes play 3 wheels like that and with a pool we can even wheel up to more numbers at a fair price around here...we can play the 3 lines of our choice in one ticket....The rules are not the same everywhere...go figure...everybody should be able to play like they want...no matter where they are located!

Hey guys,

small correction required here :) , in BC one CAN sellect all the lines needed in Super 7... 3 plays for $2. Alberta Dwoods might consider a 'short' hop across the border to the Beautiful province
to acquire his tickets...might have to factor in fuel cost/ticket :D.
Btw BC could use the extra income on account of all the logging trucks being mothballed ;)

Cheers

PS Dennis, looking at an old map I could only find St-Antonin, about 10km SE of Riviere-du-Loup, is that your camp?

Yes, I found out that the Western Canada Lottery Corp (AB, SK, MB) rules are different... bastards ! So here I can only select 1/3 Super 7 selections for $2. 42 lines costs me $84, and I get my 42 lines + 84 quick picks.

BC49 players can create their own 2 selections for $1, while here (WC49) we can select 1 and get 1 computer generated number for $1.

I called them and they don't see things changing any time soon. She did say one thing that I will pass along: "People like quick picks, and half the prizes are from quick picks."

I may very well consider driving to BC... of course I'll also have to go back there to claim the JACKPOT prize :D :dizzy:

I knew that you guys could play the 3 lines/2$ just like here...

No St-Antoine des Laurentides is closer to Montreal...if you don't see it on your map look for St-Jérôme...this is where I live....near an autoroute ready to go to the Lottery office in Montréal...lol..lol..lol..
