On average in the lotto 6/49 how many draws does it take for all the 49 numbers to have at least a hit?

Hi cohenj,

All 49 numbers will *usually* show up within 25 to 30 games. Some lotto analysts use this size of a database range for this reason. The average frequency of hits for all numbers range roughly between 7 to 9 games. But dead numbers can certainly exceed this general average. Many times numbers can go to sleep and not appear for 50 plus draws. Number 28 is the biggest culprit for disapearing for long times. It has played dead for 37 and 51 draws and holds the record for missing in action an incredible 72 times in a row. This is why the "cold therefore due" theory of number selection does not work. When a number takes a vacation it could be a long one.

Good Luck in tonight's BIG $ draw.

Do you define frequency hitting a number skipping up to 3 draws in the 7 to 9 draw range?

Hi cohenj,

What I was meaning was that each number shows up *on average* once every 7 to 9 draws when the toal number of draws are compared to the total amount of times the number was drawn. This information isn't really usefull as a number can get hot or go to sleep for a long time it just gives you an idea of what to expect in as a general gap between appearances. To select numbers they should be examined on their own skip hit patterns.
