I agree with you Sheba...It is like that in many places....people wishing people Happy whatever quite in advance...and here Halloween day is just like a holiday...And it is consider as one for the kids...but also for adults as lots of party are taken place with costume and stuff....
It might just be the same at ''nte tshishuat'' which means YOUR PLACE...
And besides I wished myself Happy Birthday one night in advance... OON character

Yes, Dennis, you are right..people get dressed up, we take our kids out, but it's just not up there with Christmas to me.

And also, some communities do have their halloween on a week-end night instead of during the week. I lived in such a place way back when..
Then halloween was stopped altogether for a long time.
