Interesting ... I do not blame the winner for going after the $$$
Even if the slot machine did malfunction - that should be the Casino and machine manufacturers problem :agree:

hiya LT,

yup, poor guy is in the pic right there with the three red 7's lined up perfectly.

next time I go to indian casinos, perhaps I better play table games instead of machines...I'd sure hate to get screwed too!

if the slot machine malfunctioned, then the casino could be to blame for not properly maintaining or having a burn in period if it is a new machine.

if it is a fairly new machine, the casino should payout, then sue the slot manufacturer for poor QA...if the casino can prove that they follow periodic maintenance procedures or whatever.

screwed

how did this player get screwed ? he is playing a machine that has a max payout of $2500 and he is so dumb as to expect that he can win 1.6meg ?

I have only seen a litlte info about this case however I would be willing to bet that the casino tried to compensate the player for the machine malfuncion.

hiya t.lawler,

ah, the fine-print...I assumed it was a progressive slot. I didn't see the other 2 article pages either.

so it was due to memory error & poor programming I guess.

if $2.5k is truly the max payout on that slot, he should have just shut the hell up and taken it. ifya not playin a progressive machine, then duh! especially if it is one of those, machines with payout scale clearly printed on the machine itself.

hey, even with the lawsuit and all, the indians still offer him $385 and a few free meals at the casino.

cheers!

guy screwed by casino?

hiya blitzed

according to the link in your origanal post the casino "CLAIMS" that they actually offered the max payout of $2.5k .

ya know i like games and trying to figure out how to maximize my gaming enjoyment. and because of this I just do not play any game I can not trust to pay out what they claim they will on a given bet. on the other side of the coin I do not expect the house to pay out MORE than they promised.

hiya t.lawler,

yup most slot machines are bandits heh!

occassionally I'll find a decent one that will at least toss a bone...may not win big, but I can at least stretch my initial funding over an hour or two, so it ends up being cheap entertainment, oh and free drinks :)

cheers!
