Group Play for May 23, 2007

LottoGator selling Lotto Pro 2007 on this forum is not advertising? My groups are a non-profit venture. I doubt if Lotto Pro 2007 is non-profit.

LottoPro isn't my product but I signed up as an affiliate for LottoPro because I bought it, use it, and like it alot, in fact, so far it is the only thing I've bought online for lottery playing that is what it says it is. Anyways, what do you think the ads on this site are for? I love creating websites and could never get back the amount of money I've spent on hosting, books and so on (including all the times I've been ripped off). If I make a few cents off of advertising it helps me cover my hosting costs at the most and so far I've never managed to cover my hosting costs over a month - believe me it is not the path to wealth. I wouldn't praise LottoPro if I didn't use it and like it - in fact that's why it's the only one advertised on my site because I don't use any others. I haven't made any referral money yet from having it on my site though.

You know, it is common practice for people with hobby sites or blogs to try to recoup some of the costs through advertising. You don't make much money unless you are a site that gets many many hits. For me it is a hobby - I have 5 sites and for all five I have never yet covered my hosting fees with advertising - it helps a bit though.. a few cents here or there. Even if I didn't have LottoPro as an affiliate on my site I'd still be using it. If it is out of line though, I won't mention it again - actually I only talked about it once before on this site because that's what I use in combination with La Jolla's wheels - ha - I mentioned La Jolla's wheels many more times and I'm not an affiliate or anything and nobody ever said anything about it. So does that mean if I have the potential to make some affiliate money off of something I'm not allowed to mention it - but if I couldn't possibly make any then I can mention it? I guess that is a webmaster's question... I supposed it is a bit of a grey area.

LottoGator,

I used your advertising as an example where the moderator of this group is not consistent. I note that you do admit to advertising. Whether you make 1 cent or $1,000, the fact remains the same, it is still advertising.

The moderator banned me once for including a link to my website. I appealed and promised not to do that again. I was reinstated. But I see many posts with links to both personal and business websites (including yours).

Now he is claiming that discussing lottery groups is advertising and deletes my posts. I am not selling anything. I am simply giving people the option to pool their money with other people to reduce the astronomical odds to something reasonable. I do not charge for this service. I do not advertise products on my website. My only motivation is to be part of the groups I organize with the hope we all win.

The moderator has not explained his reasoning to me nor responded to my posts complaining about his inconsistent use of his rules. Therefore this is my last post.

I think that is too bad for this group. I have a lot of knowledge I could have contributed to this group. I worked for Ontario Lottery and Gaming for several years in their computer security department. I have a lot of inside information on how the lotteries are run, how the lottery terminals work and how the central computers manage the games.

Goodbye and good luck.

Various people could use the report post to moderator link and complain. I’ve never used it, since never have been anything close to a reporting person.
If you searched this site, you would find that an old time member who doesn’t post here anymore and who of his own free will leaved this site , and who you do know very well, was extremely willing to report anything that he found he didn’t like here

There are recognized and quite authorized online polls possibilities these days. And, they already have had some JP and bigger winners, and moreover offer a very big variety of games at various odds ,various prizes, and various prices, which are a bit higher than original prices, but still inexpensive. I never joined, but know one of their links was deleted here recently after they posted it. Don’t know and didn’t care who reported it.

The higher prices and higher odds, the more supposed simple lottery games might look like a pure business, and many people would look where will invest their time and money, if investing it at all.

This is the 21 century, and it would be very sad if in order to play lottery games with a couple more tickets, people gotta make lottery tribes, or otherwise would be in any financial difficulty . That wasn’t necessary a few years ago, and it is not necessary at many places these days.

The former member of this site left the site, as this was spelling mistake. And, I believe you know him from another forum, you may be a member of , and I'm not . And, his posts were quite OK here, but to me was strange that he was using reporting posts link all the time very willingly, and was reporting to administrator of this site any link to other sites and such...you may find about this when searching this site...

And regarding this, honestly, I think that this info is quite uninteresting. I believe that every serious lottery corporation has a strict procedure in drawing numbers that is easily accessible at their web sites or by phone, e-mail, or such, if someone is interested, and that procedure is strictly monitored and followed.

Everything else, like in which way any computer of any lottery corporation may work, I don’t see any reason someone would care, since personally I don’t care …..

Well, I may not be rich but I am honest.

I have a couple of groups myself made up of friends and colleagues.

How does your group work? Do you have multiple groups and you are a member of each group? Can a participant be a member of multiple groups?
I'm asking because I may be interested to join if it is not expensive.
