Hi GUYS...

General Competency Test: Level 2 question I cannot firgure out how they got the answer..... Can someone explain it to me...Thanks...

Here is the Question....

Question 40

10, 14, 11, 18, 18, 22,

(1) 28 (2) 14 (3) 25 (4) 19 (5) 44
Answer is: 19 but why ?

Instruction just says:
NUMBER AND LETTER SERIES

Each question of this type presents a series (list) of numbers and/or letters. Find the rule that has been used to produce this series; then use this rule to select the item (either a number or letter) which would follow at the end.

Thanks Again...

Here is the Question....

Question 40

10, 14, 11, 18, 18, 22,

(1) 28 (2) 14 (3) 25 (4) 19 (5) 44
Answer is: 19 but why ?

Instruction just says:
NUMBER AND LETTER SERIES

I am not a mathematician, just average at basic Math just common sense analizing the numbers series. I would pick 19 as the answer. Take the difference of

10/14=4
14/11=3
11/18=7
18/18=0
18/22=4
The next pattern difference is 3. Therefore, 22 minus 3=19
22/__=3
22-3=19

Hope this helps.
